Re: February Exercise Thread

I'm alive!!! Barely!{#emotions_dlg.glare} Oh my word, I don't even know where to start to describe today's WOD. It was insane!! She told us before we went in that she did the same work-out this morning and it was very intense(which made us nervous coming from her)...she said "You'll feel good AFTER it's over and AFTER you catch your breath...and AFTER you've showered."

I used pretty heavy weights for my dead-lifts and squats and to jump right back on the treadmill and do an all-out at 10 just about did me in. When walk-out push-ups are your "recover period"...you know it's a tough work-out. The straps felt easier to me today too but think that just might be compared to everything else, it was the lesser of the evils.

My hair was all over the place, sweat was dripping, I was huffing and puffing...and I don't care if I don't do another thing all day!! LOL!! I think today was the hardest treadmill segment we've had.

I told a couple of gals about this forum...they said they might check it out even they don't do the Q.

I'm heading to PA tomorrow, dh said it's pouring rain up there, it's raining here, Friday is horrible traffic in the DC area and tomorrow makes more sense. He's going to get my son out to a movie today...Pompeii. I want to see that one too!

And maybe my VM(see nomless, I'm a quick learn...lol) will be delivered today.

Have a great Friday everyone!!!! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hi Everyone! Dreary day- rain and even thunder. Hopefully, it won't ice up. Bopper- Daytona! I am waiting! Nomless- yeah, I do notice similarities! The biggest was your fear of the gym with people! You have succeeded. I don't know if I could do it- no gym near me, so we will never know. Patty-safe driving and a visit that has some relief, not more stress. Today was a Zumba and chalean DVD. Gotta work tomorrow, won't get to anything. Hi to all! Have a great Saturday!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Well, my 2nd cup of coffee is almost empty so I need to make a decision on my work-out.

Was just thinking about cosmetics. I'm still very upset about this.{#emotions_dlg.crying} I'm also worried about Canine, I wish she would check in...it's been a while for her.

Thanks Tony, I'm heading up today, was laying a few things out. I can't pull out the suitcases yet or the animals get in an uproar.

I'm sore...even my feet hurt from the miles I put in on Thursday. I didn't go to sleep until 1 and was up by 6 with a lot of my usual tossing and turning in between.

If you're the praying type, my son has to start his new job Wed morning at 6am. Obviously, he is still sick, even on the Prednisone, so he could use some prayers that he heals quickly. He would never tell them he's too sick to start, he didn't miss one day at his last job even when he was sick(and I mean should have been in the hospital sick) until he did end up in the hospital...which, of course, was part of the reason he got as sick as he did last Fall. TIA!!

Enjoy your weekend everyone! Aaacck, it's almost 8, I need to make my plan and execute it! {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Waving to all on my out!

Re: February Exercise Thread

I'm another who thinks about Cosmetics every day. Every time I log in, I hope for a post from her. I hope she found a nightgown she liked.....I wish we could have gotten one for her. Patty, prayers for ds, of course. Enjoy your visit. Bopper, stay warm. Tony, have a good day. I'm catching up with chores....washed the car, doing laundry now, shredding piles of stuff.....and hoping to get rest this weekend. So tired. Will blow off my workout today and will get back on track tomorrow.

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hi, all! Sorry it's been so long. Thursday I went out of town for a girls trip to see friends out of state. I'm exhausted!! Missed pups and hubby, but glad to get out and have fun. We actually did a LOT of walking. Probably 10 miles yesterday, and at least 5 the day before. My dogs were barking!! Anyway, tmrw I'm going to try to get to the gym, but I'll see how I feel after my day at work. I'm praying it's an easy one, because I'm super tired. Up late, up early, and non-stop all day for the past 4 days. Eek! Anyway, I need to spend time with the "fam" (aka hubby and pups) before bed. Have a good Monday and I'll try to check in tmrw. Re: February Exercise Thread

I guarantee you haven't missed me Bopper. The only thing more miserable than my attitude and mood is the weather here. I've been practicing "angry chi", not the spirit with which it's intended. Got a side-ache yesterday doing fast time.

Even when I miss workouts I've been incorporating my dog training philosophy to them - work them in throughout the day. I do leg lifts when I wait for my hair conditioner to sink in and yesterday I was doing squats while making shells and cheese. Healthy, huh?!

Patty, been on here a couple times and have been saying prayers for your son. Not that he is paying any attention to me, but not about to let a little thing like that stop me from trying-

Take care all. Stray, where are you?

Re: February Exercise Thread

Good morning everyone! Canine! It was so good to see you here!! We don't kere if you are 'funky', we still want to hear from you! And I so appreciate your prayers. I'm in a bit of a funk myself, always go "there" when my son is sick again. A lot of places are in the minus digits again this morning and I see the NE might be getting another storm...could even reach far enough west to get us here in PA.

Had a horrible trip driving up here Saturday. Lucy had a panic attack the entire way and it was very windy. I didn't get her medicine in her soon enough, will have to give it the night before from now on. Once we got here, she didn't have a care in the world.

Dh drove back home yesterday and has already been at work for a while this morning trying to play catch-up.

I went for a run the past two days...will have to hit the gym today. DS and I have a ton of running around to do if he's able. He starts his new job at 6am Wed morning...has 4, 10-hour days right out of the gate so we're pretty darn nervous since he's still having issues even though he's been on the Prednisone for 10 days.
