Re: February Exercise Thread

Hi everyone.

nomless, another trip or two and there's your work-out! Wink Too funny!

I did 4 miles yesterday and some jump-rope, nothing too heart pounding...I just don't have it in me right now. I did a lot of cleaning and shed quite a few tears yesterday but I think that was therapeutic as well.

Weather was so nasty yesterday, we're colder today but it's nicer out. We're supposed to have snow on Tuesday and could see 62* on Thursday! Crazy!

I'm trying to decide if I should go to the gym, take the day off, or hit the pavement(snow). Sidewalks aren't cleared yet so it makes it hard to take Lucy.

I'm on WL for a Vitamix but it's more expensive than the TSV....another conundrum for me. I think I like the speed control which the one I'm on WL for, has...but this one has the dry container, my WL one does not. {#emotions_dlg.confused1} Anyone have any opinions??

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hey all, I got some good upper body in today. We shoveled off the garage roof and an area on the deck where my swing was. Moved the swing to the other side so I could get the snow of of that side. Let me tell you I was chucking snow chunks over the edge and they were big. The garage had a ton on it...we only got half of it done and that took 1 1/2 hours. Blue skies but on the cold side still. Saying 30 mid week...we'll see. Tomorrow another weather advisory for more snow.

Nomless glad you got a good cardio workout in....see you can still come back!

Pppmint continued prayers for your DS....I know how this must be tearing your up...hugs

FUTURE, Tony, Canine, Judy a big wave!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hey everyone.

The sun is out today.Cool

I did an Insanity dvd and Lucy and I did 3 miles...might go back out, had to cut it short. Couldn't make it in time for OTF this morning so hopefully I can get it together tomorrow morning.

Did not feel it at all this morning, took me a while to even start but once I did, I was good. I think I was feeling sluggish from the Bendryl I took last night to help me sleep but now that I had a good work-out, my head feels better.

Thanks so much for prayers, we're still in great need of them. I can't seem to think of much else even though I'm trying.

Re: February Exercise Thread

Morning on this Presidents Day. Another storm is headed here this afternoon. The wind is already picking up....the Winter that just won't end!

Checking in with a 2 mile run and 30 minutes on my rebounder...trying to find youtube workout for it but most of them are only previews that I have come across. May have to order one...

Pppmint you did really good considering everything on your mind..Insanity and 3 miles,,,can't say you didn't bring it! You did!

May have to cancel my Chiro tomorrow if the roads are bad. I'll wait until this afternoon and make a decision. I hate to cancel at the last minute for them.

Have a great day everyone!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hi, all. Bopper, I'm sorry you're getting yet another storm. Here, this morning we had snow, this afternoon it's near 50 degrees.

I had a chat this morning with Maizer on another thread! (The 21 Day Fix thread.) She doesn't post much anymore (as we know!). She's getting back into doing some exercise, her knees still have bad days and better days. Check out the end of the thread if you're interested. It was good to see her!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hi, all! Future's back. Smiley Wink I did a mile with the pups (seriously, the weather was beautiful today. Pretty windy, but the sun was out!!), then 15 minute incline warm up on the treadmill and weight class. I was cranking it. My legs were like jello at the end. I'm gonna be feeling it tmrw. Anyway, I think tmrw I'm going to do a few miles around the 'hood, then use my Pilates machine. I think I'm going to have to start using it twice a week or so. Lean me out and increase my flexibility! Patty, still praying for you guys! Keep us updated. Nomless, way to get going on the cardio. My least favorite thing. I'd rather do weights 5 days a week! Lol!! Bopper, my mom loves her rebounder. She uses that and a gazelle. They live in the country, but people usually drive fast down their road, and there are always random dogs, so she works out indoors. She's not too "outdoorsy" anyway. Smiley Wink She stays in pretty good shape with those two things. I just need to stay on her about weights, especially as she gets older. Ok, I need to take a tub and stretch a little more. Have a good Tuesday!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Morning everyone.

FUTURE, I wish I was like that, the weights are where it's at! You can only do weights and rock a cut bod but you can't only do cardio and look like that, never going to happen. I was thinking I need to hit the heavy weights again, not getting that right now. Will play around with this for a bit and eventually have to hit the pig again.

I did a couple more miles yesterday. We got ice, snow and sleet last night, 2-hour delay here.

Heading to class(for lack of a better word) this morning. My son had a better day yesterday so I have more energy and my mind isn't as all-over-the-map like it has been the past few days. Then have a list of errands to do.

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hi Everyone!

Just want to check in. Have been reading when I can and you all are in my thoughts. Life is full of challenges and I'm hanging in there best I can. Know that many of us are dealing with a lot right now. I know that working out would help me feel better but darn, it's hard to do when one is stressed out. Patty, I take my hat off to you that with all you're going through with your son that you still find the energy to get out there and work out. Same with all of you that are dealing with challenges right now - to find the mental and physical energy to work out is admirable.

Anyway, BF and I are doing great, DD and SIL are fine, just wish the other parts of life would fall into place. But you know, as long as BF, DD and SIL and the rest of my family are ok, that's all that matters. The rest will take care of itself. At least I keep trying to tell myself that! LOL

Take care of yourselves!

Judy

Re: February Exercise Thread

Morning, another snowy night here but we are supposed to hit 30 for today and tomorrow before a nose dive to 0 by the weekend...

Checking in with 45 minutes of Incline walking on my treadmill.

Should go to a funeral tonight but neither DH nor I are feeling like it. Just stuff going on and it will make us feel worse but we know it isn't about us in a time like that...so we have to decide. It's at the same time a when our DS is leaving on a plane so we would be late but that's another story.

I am sorry for everyone going through tough situations. Seems we are all going through our own personal crisis right now and it's nice to come here and know we are not alone.

We just do the best we can. We are all different and handle it differently so it just nice to come here not be judged.

Have a wonderful day!
