Re: February Exercise Thread

Hi, all! So super busy here! Still recovering from last weeks "events" and work has been crazy. Anyway, Monday and Tuesday I did the bike at home and a little tiny bit of weights. Omg, my 8 pounders felt like 20! I'm getting weak. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......... Anyway, yesterday I came home and absolutely crashed. Slept right through class, and then went back to bed at 10. I must've needed it. Tonight I did spin and it felt SO so so good!! Am going to have to get back on track. Don't hate me, but the weather is going to be gorgeous here this wknd. 60s!! Tmrw night I'm cooking instead of going out, and hubby is picking up dessert. My kind of V-Day. He already got me flowers -- even though he wasn't supposed to! They are really pretty. A beautiful mix of peonies, greenery, ornamental kale, snapdragons, roses, and wild flowers. They did a great job. Very unique. Ok, I'm rambling. Hubby just hot home and we are going to try to relax and then hit the hay. Have a great day and have a wonderful Valentines Day and wknd!! Patty, sorry about your son. Please keep us updated and I'll be praying!! Everyone else stay safe with this weather! It's nuts in so much of the country. Smiley Sad

Re: February Exercise Thread

Happy Valentines Day everyone! {#emotions_dlg.tt1} Not my best by any means, but it could be worse.

My son is having a rough morning which makes me have a rough day. I didn't sleep much last night, did a lot of tossing and turning and praying. I'm tired of this, can't help but worry about his future...it's aging me.

I did go to class this morning but it wasn't a "Rocky" moment for me. I told the PT before class started that I was tired, stressed, and not feeling it and just being there was my accomplishment for the day. She was really good about it.

Of course today was really tough too...inclines and a lot of all-outs. So I worked up a good sweat but didn't go crazy like I did the past few times.

Then the highway was blocked coming home, must have been an accident so I turned off and got lost for a while.

I guess we're supposed to get another round of snow tonight but nothing like yesterday. They said we had snow falling at 3" an hour at one point.

Waving to everyone and thanks for the prayers...they are so appreciated! {#emotions_dlg.wub}

Re: February Exercise Thread

Patty, lots of prayers being said for your family. I am so sorry that your son is not feeling well again. Patty I am old enough to be your Mom and when you said your hubby was heading up to be with your son it was like one of my own children were driving that route, in the snow. I am the Mom who has fits until my kids are either at their destination by car, truck or plane. When they are flying I tract the flight on flight aware from the time the plane take off and lands if they are driving every time they stop for fuel I wanted them to call me. You Patty are such a inspiration to all the ladies who work out on here. My sister just dropped in and I asked her , well lets say I told her when she praying to say some prayers for your son she said " is that the lady who exercises and works out every day and has those cut little dogs that run with her" I said yes she said " I will even say some when I leave here and am driving to go do some errands." I told her "shut your radio off so that God hears you" she said I was bossy. Take care for now.

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hey all, another snowy stormy day here....I am worrying about our roof there is on it. Hubby keeps saying its fine..ya right it's fine!!

I did a You Tub workout today. My first of that kind. Used the rebounder and it was with Rosalie Brown. It was 30 minutes and my HR was up the whole time. Who would have known. {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}then I just shoveled my deck and cleaned 2 kitchen cupboards and now I am sitting.

Pppmint praying for DS to feel better...this has to be so hard on all of you. I would have a hard time concentrating on anything. I think you are holding up great!

Cater hello, I do the same thing when my son flies,, I track the flight too and always say please call. But sometimes they don't...and that upsets me .

FUTURE good to see you and glad you got a nap, sounds like a busy time for you.

Nomless I hope your weekend goes well and you can get some "me" time.

Canine waving to you and the pups.

Judy counting the days!

Tony almost Daytona 500 time!

Ok more cleaning!

Oh boy cater, this made me cry. I'm very emotional right now and try not to be too much of a downer on here but I think you read between the lines.

To know complete strangers are praying for us touches me beyond belief. I don't even know what to say, I'm just so grateful.

My husband said last night that before going to bed, my son went over and hugged him really tight and for a long time and said, "I love you a lot dad, thanks for coming", he said he would have driven through every natural disaster known to man to get that.

I'm terrible about them driving, my mom was killed in a car accident so to say I'm a little over the top about them driving is an understatement.

Again, I really can't thank you enough for the prayers and for taking the time to stop in here and tell me. {#emotions_dlg.wub}

And thanks to the little birdie that told me to come over here and read this.

Re: February Exercise Thread

Cater, your message to Patty was so sweet and kind. So touching.

Patty, I'm glad to know that DH got there OK. I hope things start looking up very soon. Hugs and prayers.

Hi, Bopper. We have a little sun today, but our mild temps are gone. We're back to about 20. You must be so frustrated dealing with storms nearly everyday. Hang in there, kiddo. Spring will come eventually.

Hi, Future, I'm way off track, too. I thought winter was supposed to be the quiet time of year..not so here!

I'll get in a couple of workouts over the weekend. I need 'em bad!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hi, all!! Weights and spin this am. I was really cranking it. And now I am super funky and disgusting. Just ate a PB&J bagel thing for breakfast. Hubby and I have a low-key day and are meeting some family for lunch. I hope you all have a great day. I hope I'm on the upswing and back on track with my WO. I am SO weak, and it's really frustrating. It's amazing what a week or two our of habit will really do! Oh, and dinner last night was a huge hit -- hubby and I both loved it. It was a recipe my mom made growing up, and it brought back lots of good memories for me, and he hadn't had it before. Anyway, I need to get showered up! Hope you all have a good day. Stay safe!!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Oh, I forgot to add, I took the pups on a walk yesterday and they tore it up! We only did about a mile, bc it's been so long since I've had them out bc it's been cold. They don't handle the cold very well. We will come in and little girl will just shiver (even with their vests on them), so I try to be careful. We will probably do a walk again today. It's too nice not to!!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hi all I have no workout to report.. I am just vacuuming and dusting, took down my Winter sheer curtain panels and swapped them out for the Spring ones. Took out my winter LD rug and put in a Spring rug. If I can't have it outside I can bring it inside! I am in CONTROL! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

FUTURE good to see you are getting back in the swing of things...it's easy to get side tracked and slip back a bit but you can get there again...I haven't had my boy on his regular walk in a long time either. He can handle pretty much cold with a thick coat but his paws get too cold and he does get snow balls built up on him too so he is waiting for Spring along with me!

Nomless hope your weekend is a little quieter for you

Pppmint praying for DS to feel better...you must certainly be beside yourself. Things must turn around soon! Keep the faith!

Well my washer stopped so back I go!

Re: February Exercise Thread

I went over to the gym four times today but failed to get in a workout. Twice it was too busy, once the people there didn't want the tv on, and once they were watching something other than what I wanted to see. I know. I'm way too picky. I might try once more in a little while.
