Re: February Exercise Thread

Hey everyone!! Been busy today. Took Lucy out for a quick run this morning then went to the gym, ran on the treadmill, rode the bike, and then did the ski simulator...went a little crazier on that than I wanted but I really like it. I cranked the simulator to 10 and it was such a different movement....side to side but in a circle. Hard to explain. I leaned back and, wowza, my thighs, butt cheeks and hamstrings could feel that and I'm still sore from yesterday's squats. Saw two of my gf's from class. Smile

Stopped at Marshall's then came home and took Lucy out for 2 more miles. Showered and went and got my nails done and it took forever!!!! Oh my word, I can't deal with that! I have to say, she did a great job massaging my hands, I dern near fell asleep...that felt soooo good!

FUTURE....how's your dh? I hope you didn't get it. The nail lady was coughing and it's all I could focus on.

Thanks for the prayers ladies...seem to be working! He's holding his own...said he feels better and can tell things are slowly improving.

Waving to everyone!! Hope you're all doing okay! Stop in and visit...even if you haven't been working out!!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hi everyone. It's another crazy week here and now the Olympics are on, too. I'll proabably miss w/o's again for the next couple of weeks. I love to watch the curling, and it's on when I get home from work. Although I could turn it on in the gym (assuming no one else is there), last night I didn't feel like missing it while I changed clothes and went over to the gym. So I didn't do a w/o. You guys who have the space for equipment in your home are so lucky.

I've been getting up early (4:30) in order to curling in the morning and staying up late to watch the evening show. I'm getting worn out just watching. Fun, though.

Bopper, you did good! You, too, Patty. And Lucy, too! LOL. She's the best of all of us....always ready to go!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Morning, over 10 degrees so I headed outside for snowshoeing and meditation...needed it today...had to break trail again because it's been so long since I have been back there because of the cold but it was really pretty and so quiet. Deer tracks everywhere, saw an owl...just peaceful.

Watched hockey this morning USA vs. Canada...questionable call on a few.

Is everyone enjoying watching. Skating is beautiful...don't like the falls though as they really scare me especially on the snowboarding...and skiing...

Nomless curling is on at 5 pm EST today...I know you enjoy that. I don't have much space at all for equipment, hence why my boys are always after me to get rid of something because you can't walk in my basement so don't feel bad...I shouldn't have as much as I have and I really don't have that much...my treadmill is a must....it's old but it works...recumbent bike but that doesn't take up a lot of space either...everything else is relatively small.

Pppmint hope you are safe from the ice/snow...not sure which one you are getting Bad in your area and south of you along the coast...once again!

FUTURE you doing OK...seems quiet here...

Judy and Canine and Tony a big wave!

Have a good day!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hi everyone!

Ran with Lucy, post-office, dry-cleaners, butt-kickin' for 65 minutes at gym, groceries, and now I'm taking the peanut back out even though it's pretty nippy for her but with Snowmegedon on its way, I better do it whilst I can!

Well, I won't go into detail but I'm seeing major improvements and I'm very pleased. Am I where I want to be? No, but I'm doing stuff I couldn't do a month ago.

Today was fast-paced which is right up my ally. We'd do things like a 1-minute push on treadmill, 2-minute all out...jump off treadmills onto rowers for 1-minute push, 2-minute all out...then to floor for jump-squats with weights...two-minute plank...back to treadmill for another round. Fun times!!!

nomless, dh loves curling too. They're stressing me out!!! I can't take these people falling.

Phone....!! Have a great day everyone!!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Morning everyone.

Got four miles in this morning and a lot of shoveling. I ran pretty far in deep snow...I was huffing and puffing but tried to keep up with dh. Running in the streets was easier as they are pretty bare(as in no traffic) and some had been plowed earlier so only had a few inches and some tire tracks we could follow.

My son is sick so we're still debating whether we should drive up there now or wait until tomorrow. It's sleeting now and supposed to start snowing again later...but I'm sure they'll have the main roads cleared. Getting out of our subdivision could pose a problem.

Re: February Exercise Thread

Oh, dear, Patty. I'm sorry DS has had a setback and that you will have to travel in the awful weather. Lots of prayers for your family.

Here, finally we're getting a warm day. It's been 10 or below for the past couple of weeks, today it's mid 50's. What a relief. It probably won't last, but it's nice for today.

I've been watching the Olympics every free moment. I get up early to watch curling, watch curling again when I get home from work, and then watch the primetime show. So much fun. I haven't gotten in any workouts, there's no time!

Hi, Bopper. Is your weather warmer, too? I think we've all had enough winter, let's think spring. Maybe it will come faster if we do.

Hi to all our other friends. Hope you're doing well.

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hey all, snowing here too....we have like 17 inches thus far this winter. Nomless you are warm. We won't get 50 until maybe May! We are at 22 right now and that feels warm compared to what we've had.

I did 3 miles today on the treadmill, mostly running but some walking. I bought the Total Gym so waiting for it to get here. On advanced order so will be here March 6th. Forgive me if I already told you that as I am thinking I already did.

I am enjoying Olympics too. Watched hockey this morning. Any hockey fans here>? We love hockey. We always went to hockey games when I was a kid with my parents. I guess coming from a snow area and being born and raised here we are into skating and hockey. I love it all frankly.

Pppmint so sorry about DS and praying things turn around for him soon. I hope and pray the roads don't get too bad as you travel.

Waving to everyone!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Thanks ladies! Dh is on his way up there right now, said roads are a lot worse than when he left here.

I'm heading out for my last shovel of the night...and I'm dragging my feet.

Patty, hugs. Know your family is on my mind and in my prayers. Bopper, yea that you got the TG. It's a good tool.
