Bopper. The recipe is in Eat What You Love. You have that, I think. Page 304, Quicker Than Takeout Orange Chicken. I thought the sauce was a little too thick. Maybe try using only 1.5 tbls cornstarch, not 2 tjat the recipe calls for.

I looked at my book nomless and it's called Eat More of what you Love...and I can't find it. It must be a different book. My page 304 is Krispy Meringues.

Thank you though Smiley Happy

Yep, it's in the other book. You cab find it by googling "Marlene Koch orange chicken." Here's a link: http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/shows/10-show/Quicker-Than-Take-Out-Orange-Chicken-88621707.html

Re: February Exercise Thread

Morning! Just church and lunch today...probably not much else.

We did the 7-mile hill route yesterday and ran some sprints on campus. I only did a couple of sprints...I own it. My legs were sore and worn-out plus DH was Speedy Gonzales yesterday, I couldn't hardly keep up with him!

I went grocery shopping and grilled up a bunch of chicken and fish...and we washed and cut up a bunch of fresh fruit and veggies to have on hand. I cooked up a bunch of my sweet potatoes and onions too.

Last night I was laying in bed thinking about all the entertaining I'm going to have to do once we move and was stressing out about that...hahaha!!! I'm turning into my mother!! Worrying about stuff(and dreading it) that isn't even here yet! {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Today I'm going to make our reservations for Newport even though we don't have orders, I need to get one thing off my mind. Tired of it.

I'm taking today off. Period. No matter what. I can't remember the last time I took a day off and my body feels very worn-out this morning, my back muscles are still sore from Friday. So...I'm not even going to walk Lucy...nothing, nadda, no matter what!!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Enjoy your rest day, Patty. I'm trying again to establish consistent workouts, and I started by doing 50 min cardio today. When I logged it on the calendar I keep, I looked back through the past few weeks. Since Christmas, even though I've been inconsistent, I have gotten in 3-4 workouts each week. That's better than I thought I was doing. It's not enough, for sure, but it's ok given the circumstances. Heck, there are some trainers out there who say 3-4 times a week is enough. I need to stop beating myself up about it.

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hey all, I got nothing today either. Cleaned in the basement, went to the Pet store with Logan for dog food and then we visited my dad. Now watching Olympics...

Nomless thanks for the link for that recipe. I will copy it down.

Pppmint chillin out day for you and Lucy! I worry about things before they happen too. It's in our blood! LOL

Snowing hard here right now. My bird feeders are needing to be filled every day it seems...

Have a good one!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Morning, another below zero morning here....maybe get into the teens later today.

Checking in with Treadmill running 2.5 miles and 5 miles on the bike....I am still plugging along here, not fast but determined.

The sun is sure nice to see though that's the nice thing about zero weather it is usually sunny out.

Stay warm everyone!

Re: February Exercise Thread

It's afternoon already, I started to type 'good morning'! I've basically been up since 3 but feel like I've had 5 cups of coffee today for some reason...haven't stopped! I took Lucy for a mile run and some sprints this morning before class, she ate everything in sight so I'm surprised her tummy doesn't hurt.

nomless, I think you do pretty darn good with your hours! A lot of people work-out 3 to 4 days, I think most ladies here do the same.

bopper, forgot to mention, Dh and I must have seen 30 Cardinals on Saturday, wonder why so many were out. Some were that really bright, deep red but my camera isn't too good in those situations.

I kicked butt in class today...there was one point where I had to grab onto the treadmill handles after an all-out or I might have shot off the back, but I didn't break-down until I heard the THREE-TWO-ONE!!...and down I came and almost couldn't get 'er down there quick enough...lol! I lifted heavy too and smoked through my circuits. Yep, I think I might actually be getting back into shape. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1} If my son stays healthy, he had a rough weekend which is why I couldn't sleep last night. Hopefully him and his GI got it worked out today. Stresses me out like nothing else...praying he doesn't have to go back on the Prednisone.

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hey all, just posting my workout kind of late for me today. My running day. Anyway it was kind of a running day speaking of. Just did my treadmill alternating speeds for 2 miles...I know it isn't much for some but for me it is improvement as I haven't been doing this for real long but anyway I did it.

Another below zero day here this morning and about 10 right now. Getting my GD from school today for a couple hours.

PPPmint hoping and praying DS is doing better . I know it eats you up inside.

Nomless yes the sun is sure nice....I think you do great with your workouts and your busy life....don't get down on yourself.

FUTURE, canine, Judy, Tony and everybody have a wonderful day!
