Re: February Exercise Thread

Hi, Tony. I did Katami. Also, ordered the Beachbody 21 Day Fix program, not so much for the workouts, but for the nutrition part. Program will show you how many servings of protein, carbs, etc, you need, and comes with bowls of different sizes....one is a ptrotein bowl, a carb bowl, etc. Fill the bowl, that's a serving. No measuring or weighing. I nknow I don't eat enough rotein and I've been worryimg about that. This bowl system might be a big help. Not as exe sive as other BB programs because there are only 6 30-min workouts.

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hey all, no snow and ice for for a change!

This morning I dug out an old dvd. The Firm High Def Sculpt...I forgot it is pretty darn good.

Nomless did you order the BB program directly from their site or did you go through a coach? Please let me know what you think about it...I liked the idea of the containers. I watched the clips of the workouts and they looked good too.

Boy it's windy out...feels much colder.

What did you think of BL? Lots of talk about that today?

Ok, gotta run. Have a great day everyone!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Yay tony...good to see you! Now where's Judy??

Started the day off waking up at 4:20 again and not going back to sleep...I even laid in bed until 5:20...grrrr!!!

Then dh fell down our brick steps because they were covered in ice. Lucy fell on the sidewalk and her little legs went east and west and I thought for sure I was going to be driving to the ER vet but she popped up and kept on going.

Anyway, I LOVED class today...it was just old-fashioned, hard-core running on treadmill for 28 minutes(still doing different segments the trainer instructs us to do) and then basic, heavy weight-lifting with 500 meter rows in between the sets...well, it went 2 sets of weights, 500 meter row, 2 sets of weights, 450 meter row, 2 sets - 400 meters. Lots of squats and swings, and push-ups, and jump-squats, back rows, triceps, biceps, etc. Good, strong, no-excuses, no-frill, work-out. Just.my.style.{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

We did more incline running today than sprints...I personally like sprints better but I sure was in the red zone so who cares...it's all good! Running at 5% incline at a 7.0 feels like a sprint.Wink

My son just called, wants us to come up this weekend or next. That will mean we have to push Lucy's spay(teeth cleaning, 2 baby teeth pulled, and chipped also) to another time. I'm having trouble with the anesthesia and keep picturing her little jaw being broken when they remove the teeth. Also have visions of her getting a bad infection. I know, I know, I'm a freak!!! Maybe because it hasn't even been a year from Zoe and Dottie wasn't too long before that...bad memories, just scares me.

Anyway, time to get rock-n-rollin'. Still lots of ice out there, thought for sure it would be melted by now.

Re: February Exercise Thread

Patty, I understand your apprehension about Lucy and surgery, I always worry about mine when they need it and am so grateful when it's over. Bopper, I ordered 21Day Fix from the BB coach I've used before (I won't order from the BB site). I orgered on day 1 but even that wasn't f fast enough. I receieved notice today that it's sold out and won't be availabe untill the end of March. So I canceled my order. It sounded like BB would charge me now, send the product later, and I didn't like that. Wasn't sure BB would follow through. Maybe someone will post the nutrition plan (how many servings of each food group) and the size of the containers. Then I could do it myself. I've got a boatload of containers!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hi Ladies!

Checking in. It's been raining here in the Bay Area! Wahooo!! We're not getting much but we'll take what we can get. Supposed to rain pretty heavy this weekend.

Made my plane reservations for my trip to Africa in July. Will be leaving on July 29th and will be back on August 15th. Takes me 2 days to get there and one back. LOL That's cuz of the time differences but it still always makes me laugh. Will be celebrating my birthday - ACK! It's one of those "zero" birthdays! - while I'm there. It'll be nice to be with my BF for my birthday. We'll be staying in Zimbabwe for a few days then head to Cape Town and will be there for the big day! Also while we're in Zimbabwe, my BF is introducing me to his parents, siblings, kids, friends. Oh lord be can I stand all this - being introduced to BF's family AND a BIG ZERO birthday?! Just thinking about it now makes me want to faint. LOL

Work is incredibly busy right now and will be through the 13th. One of my attorneys has a huge Closing going on and I'm at her beck and call until it's over. That's fine - we've worked together so long that we work really well as a team. I'm hoppin' all day so when I get home, I'm mentally and physically beat. With the Closing going on, I still have to take care of my 3 other attorneys too! No wonder I'm tired!

All of you that are in the NE and in the way of the storms that are coming, please take care and stay warm!

Judy

Re: February Exercise Thread

Yay Judy! I'm sure you're counting the days!

Now where is canine??? Hope you're doing well and not snowed in!

My hometown is almost -30* wind chill again this morning, they have not had a break, even when other places have warmed up, they have not. And lots of bad snow(tough driving). I see the kids are going to get hit with yet another snowfall too. They haven't had it like NY and MA though...just a rough winter for so many.

Well, I'm seriously thinking of going back into the Lion's Den(OTF gym) again today...my gf is going back to work(she's a nurse and got laid off last year, was just called back) so Monday will be her last day and she wants me to join her for her last days. We run by each other on the treadmills so get to 'chat' when we can actually breath which makes the time go by quicker.

I'm sore though so keep going back and forth.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day!! canine and cosmetics...please check in!

nomless, sorry about your order!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Morning all, well I haven't worked out yet but I know what I am doing so might as well post while I am on here. Going to do treadmill incline today...trying to mix it up and do different programs to hep my endurance.

Nomless that is disappointing but your right about the containers. We all have them. I know a BB coach. I wonder if it is the one I know. Isn't the price 59$ or something close to it. Must be popular. I wonder if TV will run an informercial on it.

Judy so happy to see you posting...and you must be feeling better just with your pending trip. Remember time goes fast so you will be back before you know it.

Pppmint we haven't been above 30 since sometime in November..broke records for cold and all this week in the 10's and below zero at night but at least we have some sun today and we had some yesterday too. 3/4 of the big Lake is froze over so that shuts off the snow making machine some what. I hope the kids stay safe and warm.

Canine yes where are you, hope your not buried in the snow!

Hi Tony almost Daytona time!

OK I better get a move on here...have a great day everyone!

Re: February Exercise Thread

I ordered from the BB coach I've used in the past...the one at extremely-fit.com. The one I use in not on the Q boards. And yes, it was $59. I haven't been able to find any info about the size of the containers nor the number of servings each day...not a surprise. That's proprietary, of course, and they need to keep it secret in order to sell the program. I found another container-based system that I'm trying to get info about.
