Does anyone else have ET?  Mine have gotten so bad in the past year I can hardly write anymore.  Guess I will have to go back to the Neurologist.  I know there is surgery, but at my age, I'm a little scared of it.  It's very embarrasing.

I am on medication.  Several years ago,  I tried one medication that is used for Epelipsy  and I was a zombie for a couple of days.  I am very sensitive to medication.

@Patriot3, are you on propranolol?  What did your doctor suggest last time you were in?  There is a nonsurgical option that has helped many, too. It uses ultrasound. Sometimes occupational therapy helps. I have three family members with ET, but so far medication is helping.

OH YES! I have them.

My Doctor put me on Propranolol ER. I can't say it has made any difference. But I take it just the same - just in case.

It is slowly changing my entire life and not for the better.

@drizzellla @Ruby Laine   Yes, I am on propranolol........60 er twice a day.  I used to take a low dose for tremors for years, but had to have it increased a couple of years ago for borderline high BP.  It certainly hasn't helped the tremors.

I go back to my cardio doc in Aug and will mention it then.  In the meantime,  I'm going to contact my neurologist.

Thanks for your feedback!

@AuntG   As much as I hate the thought of using this, I thought about trying it.  However, w/having Afib and borderline high BP, I was cautious until I talk to my Dr.

Thanks for your input Smiley Happy

I have the benign essential tremors for a few years now. I was put on gabapentin and it made me fall often and my floor is hard wood. A bit later I was told I have neuropathy as well. I see my neurologist this month and I am more concerned about the neuropathy more. My tremors are basically on my left side and I am right handed. So I shake, walk sideways and squeak when I get zapped by neuropathy. I miss my ability to complete a task all at one time. Now it is 10 minutes here and there.
