Ear tubes

I am 74 and have had popping and fluid in my right ear for almost a year. My ENT put a tube in on Wednesday. I have had diminished hearing in that ear and it felt stopped up for four months. I am on ear drops now. Has anyone else experienced this? I hope my hearing will come back.
