@I am still oxox The medication experience of another lay person is not relevant information, so it is best to seek ANY information about medication responses only from your physician, who knows your medical history and physical status. And the fact that others seek this type of information from untrained people is also irrelrvant and sadly reflects that they are uninformed about how to pursue information about their health.

Most physicians have no idea how meds will affect a person. They are far too busy to answer questions. But get a group of people together who have taken a med and they can relate their experiences. Last year I was prescribed losartan and had a terrible reaction. Turns out many had the same reaction. If not for reading anecdotal information, I would probably be on another additional drug to counteract the effect of the losartan. So, at times we can learn from one another when we share our experiences.

I completely agree with your post, @Trinity11 .  When my DH had cancer, I was on a blog site that had a host of info that was extremely helpful.  While the doctor can prescribe and read an insert in a med package, he has never taken the drug or experienced the side effects.  And most likely has never suffered from the diseases he is treating.  Often the nurses have more info to offer because they have more hands on with the patients.

Asking for other's experiences of taking a drug can be valuable.  It is short sighted to tell someone not to do so.

Re: Does anyone have experience with LDN

Other's experiences matter to me in choosing a doctor, dentist, a purchase, a mechanic, and especially if I were prescribed a medication.

It can be reassuring or a warning.

The OP didn't ask for opinions, she asked for experiences.
