Do You Suffer With Nerve Problems

Particulary in your feet and legs?  Have you ever used any of those nerve relief products; i.e. Nerve Renew, Nerve Factor, etc?

Re: Do You Suffer With Nerve Problems

@rms1954  My sisters and I all have varying degrees of peripheral neuropathy in our feet.  One tried Nerve Renew and it did nothing for her.  I take 600 mg. of Benfotiamine a day.  It hasn't cured it, but I keep taking it to prevent any further damage.

Have you had your A1C checked?

No. I've never used anything like those. My nerve pain was caused from constricted blood flow to the nerve endings which caused my pain in my hands mostly. Was on BP meds to dilate the vessels at one time but have since been able to get off that and go with diet changes and healthy living, tg.

@Trinity11 @JeanLouiseFinch I have an appt with a neuro but it's not until May.  Earliest appt I could get.  Also waiting to see a new physician -- geriatric/internist.

Yes I have nerve damage due to chemo--in my fingertips mostly but was in my feet too. I tried  all the b vitamins and the drugs after my treatments 10 years ago--nothing helped. However my feet seem to not be so numb but my fingertips drive me crazy---they feel like what the texture of bumpy sheet rock feels like on the walls--never tried the OTC products---pretty sure I would be wasting my $$. My oncology dr said that if it didn't go away within 12-18 months after treatment, it was not going away.

@wagirl I had cervical fusion done a couple of years ago. My surgeon said the same thing about the numbness in my pinkies, that it would be permanent if it didn't resolve within a year. I'm very grateful for the improvement the surgery provided, but the pinkies not so much.Lots of people have it worse than me though.

Yes I have permanent nerve damage in my right foot..due to surgery

for Pyoderma Gangrosum(Sp)..At times I can't tell if I have a sock on or not..I am no longer allowed to drive..I take 300mg Gabapentin 3x a day.

The surgery was in 2017 and my foot is still not totally healed.

@JeanLouiseFinch --oh yes, I agree and I am grateful the chemo did it's job so far, will be 10 years at the end of this year that I am cancer free---can't knock the good things but there are alot of "little" things that make things rough that cannot be fixed.

@rms1954 @Dear Imtep, no physician that is made aware of your weight should be allowing you to wait for an appointment. If you also suffer from fears about seeing a doctor right away, you can speak with a professional about this now, online, from the privacy of your home. You could also go into an ER or could contact a primary care doctor's office and request to speak with the RN or PA in order to speed up your appointment. You need a doctor in your corner as soon as possible. We're your friends here and we care about you. đź’ś

Hi @rms1954 ,

I do hae problems with neuropathy especially in my feet and legs.

I also have it in my hands.

I do take medication, but I take supplements as well.

I'm glad that you will be seeing some doctors.

My primary care doctor is aware of the supplements that I take. I don't take any of the nerve formulas that you take, but I do take separate supplements to help with nerve function.

There is no cure for these issues, so I just try to make myself feel more comfortable.

The way that my neuropathy feels on the bottom of my feet is that it feels like I am "walking on rocks/stones" all of the time. So annoying!

I hope that you can get some relief so that you can start to feel better. XOXO Heart
