I have used it for hip pain for years. It helps me. I buy it on Amazon.

@mistyada  I read about it a few days ago. I'm intrigued. I ordered some along with castor oil.

Thanks for the info.

I remember when this was "the thing" for arthritis over 30 years ago.  It was proven to be an industrial solvent. And pretty much blown off as effective for pain.

Try Voltaren instead.

I have used DMSO for years on my horses and occasionally on a dog with a limping leg.  And once thrown from my horse, badly injuring my back, I used DMSO on the soft tissue injury experiencing great results.  Since have used for sprains, strains.  Caution however because DMSO penetrates deeply into tissue, make sure to cleanse the area well and rinse any soap residue/etc.  You don't want that transported deep into your tissues.

I have never heard of DMSO, but I swear by Voltaren for arthritis pain.

I've used DMSO on cold sores. It helps topical antiviral medication, such as Abreva, absorb into the skin where is helps deactivate the live virus and speeds healing.

Doesn't it make you smell terrible?
