Countdown to the NFL draft!!!

April is finally here (according to my calendar anyway, but it doesn't feel that way) so it's time to turn our attention to the NFL Draft. Who will be the first overall pick? Cam Newton? (I don't think so. Too many question marks for me to take him first overall.) Who will your team pick?

Rumor has it that if the NFLPA gets the court to overturn the lockout and the old rules are reinstated for even an hour or two that many, many trades will take place in that narrow window. The Eagles are said to have several suitors for Kevin Kolb offering a first round pick. No names have been mentioned, but I'm leaning towards San Francisco and their seventh overall pick. Jim Harbaugh is the new hed coach out there. John Harbaugh (Jim's brother and head coach of the Baltimore Ravens and former Eagle's defensive backs coach) knows Kevin Kolb very, very well from his time with the Eagles and was reportedly very impressed by him. Assuming the two brothers have at least casually talked about quarterbacks I would assume that Jim has asked John's opinion and from all indications John's opinion of Kolb is very, very high. We could see Kevin Kolb playing for the Niners next year. That would be a smart move by the Eagles as we'd only have to play him from time to time and not twice a year like when we traded McNabb to the Redskins. Will the Niners part with that high a pick for Kolb? They need a quarterback and there aren't a lot of good ones out there. We'll have to see what happens.

Fly!!! Eagles!!! Fly!!!
