I got this on one hand two days ago, first time ever.  On the back of my left hand and baby finger.  A substantial blister on the finger, and a patch on the back of my hand.

IMO it has to be a hand lotion I've used for about a year.

The finger blister is super irritating but I read up on the subject online and it says not to pop them.

Would I be right that we just wait it out?  Supposedly it can take up to three weeks.

I had quite a severe case of it on my face from getting a dirty fingernail under the skin. I had to see my derm doc for a cortisone shot and go on a cortisone cream. He said it was a very bad case of it. My whole side of my face was very red and swollen and one eye was just about swollen shut.

Don't know if you should wait it out.  Thursday if it is worse call for an appt.

It the same or better just go day by day.

Oh @Shelbelle  How awful for you to deal with!  It seems to be pretty common on the face.  I took online advice and am washing my hands often, like at least every hour, even when I haven't done much, and I'm using the Cortisone cream.

Geez, I hope it all cleared up pretty fast for you.

Hopi, I'm stuck in the house for now.  My right leg was injured pretty bad in a recent accident.  I have a walker to use while it heals, but the stairs are a real issue.  Super pain going down the steps.

@Noel7

So sorry to hear of your injury and hope you heal soon.

Your hand concern can be due to your exasperated by you pain, stress on your body  and having to move with help.  Can you call your Dr and ask for advice.

When the weekend comes every one is off and it is hard to get help even on the phone.

Thank you, Noel, once I got the cortisone shot it began to clear up. It was actually so bad, my derm doc who was also teaching classes at the medical school here asked me if he could take pix of my face to show to his students. I hope you get relief soon, dont play around with it for too long, but if you do decide to see a doc, please see a derm doc, only they really know what creams to prescribe for these kinds of things.

I had it last year on my hand, quite itchy!  I found it was the rubber gloves I was wearing for cleaning.

Taking an antihistamine may help with the blisters. Apply cold compress and if the condition gets worse then go to a doctor.

@Noel7, I had for the first time ever real blad blistering on my foot and up to my leg calf. First appeared red spotches. Then after big blisters all over the top of my foot. I mean big as a walnut (two of them) and about 20 small blisters.

Wow, I've been going through it for three weeks now. The Derm thought it was auto immune with a long name which means blistering. They did two biopsies, and it was neither auto immune.

The Derm did another blood work to make sure no auto immune anti-bodies, which will take a week.

After CUTTING the two big blisters, they put me on 40 prednesone to dry them out. They gave me pain pills, cortisone cream, and some kind of alum. powder which I bathed my foot in.

Scabs formed over the cut skin and all the little blisters dried up. Healing is going on in my foot after three weeks.

I've gone from 30 prednesone to 20 this week and ten next week.

Pathology says no auto immune. If bloodwork is negative also, they said they will just never know what caused it.

I've seen some of the bills for this and they're over 5,000. And I'm ending up with not knowing anything and inconclusive.

This is not you, I know, but it's strange I should see blisters today. Wow, oh wow! Smiley Happy
