I see my Chiropractor every other week, have been for many years. I have a tailbone that likes to go out on me and it causes hip and leg issues. Before I started going to the Chiropractor I had lots of little aches and pains, now I really feel good and find it very helpful. My insurance helps to pay for it so it is a lot more accepted than it use to be. It's a big part of my wellness program. Wish you luck hope you find a Chiropractor as good as mine!!!

I've been going to chiropractors for over 30 years for muscle tension headaches. I only go as needed but I always get relief.

I had lower back pain last summer for about 6 weeks. I was desperate and had no medical insurance. I had been before to other for migraine and never really got great satisfaction or manipulation of my back. The one I picked was a young petite woman and she really knew her stuff and was always able to crack my back in several areas. My back was better within a couple of weeks and I was very happy. Unlike the rest I had been to, she didn't keep me coming back forever with no results. Just until I was better. I loved her.

I have been going to chiropractors for about 30 years, on and off. I wouldn't be without one.

As someone else mentioned, have him/her use the "activator" which is a more gentle way to realign your spine, etc.

Glad to read so many nice comments about chiropractors. Often they are passed over and given a hard time by the established medical community (md doctors). I know I was helped by one when I fell off a ladder. And I have a family member who is a chiropractor in another state unfortunately for me.

I went to an excellent one until he bough a practice somewhere else. I had compressed discs in my neck and he corrected it to about 97% of normal. A coworker had compressed discs that were not as severe as mine. She had surgery and to this day cannot move her neck much. I did have to go for nearly 2 years and I went 4 times a week for a month then 3 times for about 6 months then 2 times for the rest of the time. I was there for nearly 2 hours for different types of therapy plus the neck adjustment. It was well worth it. I also went for other things including shoulder issues that were helped without steroid shots. All chiropractors are not equal so you have to find a really good one. Ask friends and coworkers for recommendations and look online at complaints also.

I love my chiro too. She is a kinesiologist/chiro so I am never adjusted the same way each time but only for the areas that are bothering me. Just remember that one appt may not do the job. It can take several . I go whenever I feel the need, usually 2x a month as my insurance covers 24 visits a year. The key is to relax as much as you can and don't do anything strenuous that may undo the adjustment, for the next day or so.

I love mine too. I am not thrilled with the office space, but I continue to go there because I like him a lot. When he's not there and a sub fills in, I'm not happy because they don't do as good of a job as he does.

It's like getting a tune up. My insurance covers 100 visits a year, so I could go twice a week if I needed to. Now I go about once a month or whenever I feel that my neck/shoulders or lower back are "tight."

I've been going to one off and on for five years for lower back pain. I like going, but only go when I really need to. For maintenance, I go to physical therapy every six weeks. She works on my lower back. I wouldn't hesitate going.

I never believed in them. I've heard horror stories about them. So, I lived with lower back pain for about 2 years. Finally, I asked a friend what he did because he was in awful shape and two weeks later he was playing Tennis. He gave me the name of his Chiropractor, and I went. Thank goodness I went. My back is soooo much better now. I go once a month now for maintenance. I wished I hadn't waited so long.
