I've just started seeing a Chiropractor for a problem with my neck. Had x-rays it's degenerative disc disease at C5-C6. It is a real ache so I decided to give chiropractic a try, but this is my first experience. I"ve had 3 'treatments', the muscle therapy and then he twists neck one side & the other. I do feel better when I leave tho between visits it is still painful. I was wondering when I should feel real lasting improvement, if ever & what happens when I stop the treatments. Can't keep them up with $30 co-pays forever!! For now I'm glad I"m feeling some relief. I'm 52 & didn't really hurt it anyway I can remember, just regular stuff, maybe shoveling snow, posture on computer, etc.
