Has anyone had any luck going to a chiropractor for vertigo?

I've had a bad case of vertigo for the last three weeks. It was so bad that while getting out of bed, I fell. Thank God I didn't break any bones and didn't get anything more than a few bruises. The medical doctor gave me predisone for fluid in my ear, antibiotics and something for dizziness (forgot the name) which makes me sleepy, so I can't take it in the day and work. I only get dizzy when I lay down, get out of bed, or look up. Does anyone know of something that will work?
