Wow--I think it's been a very long time since I checked in with everyone. Hope you are all well. Can't believe that we are almost to Helloween and then on to November.

I have my 11th of 12 taxol treatments today and then next Tuesday is the very last one!!!!! The last few weeks have been awful as far as side effects go. Seems like all of a sudden all the cr(a)p hit the fan for me. Spent all last week bawling everyday for hours. My poor family----good that they can go to work and escape the rages that is myself. Had to go to the ER Monday and get a ct scan for possible blood clots as I was having issues with my breathing. Everything was clear so it was just me freaking out. Anyway I have a question for you that have gone thru the weekly taxol chemo. I was told to take 30 grams of glutamine every day, to help with the neuropathy . I was taking 15 in the a.m. and 15 grams in the p.m. which is about 2 heaping tablespoons a day. Did any of you develop some side effects that you couldn't explain? For me I got a bloody nose, a dry cough that was non productive, my voice got hoarse sometimes and I had extreme weakness and tightness in my calves as well as in my forearms top and bottom. I couldn't grip well much less walk without stumbling. Trying to eat anything was making my abdomen bloat and I was so constipated I looked like I was about 5 months preggers-------I know........TMI. I have stopped taking it and am starting to feel better. For awhile I didn't know if I was going to be able to get to the hospital on my own. Was looking at using a wheelchair to get around. Now I know some of this is from the chemo. But this was the satans chemo treatment. I did research glutamine and you can go overboard with it and thats what I think happened.

Wow this got very long. Anyway just wanted to see if anyone had experienced any of these things and to tell everyone that I 'm still kicking here in wet, rainy, grey WA state.
