I'm wanting to start a chair exercise program but not sure which one. There's so many like chair yoga, chair tai chi, etc. Can't do regular exercise since I have problem knees and also not enough strength in knees to get up off the floor. Any suggestions?

@patticakes Usually these fitness programs offer the first class free. I would suggest calling them and telling them any limitations you have and see if you can try it out. Every fitness program in my area will offer a free class then you can see what works best for you.
By the way, it really helps if you have a friend that will join you.

Often the recreation or senior's centers have chair yoga or similar. I would suggest going and making every class as best you can. Might be kind of hard at first but stick with it for two months. Then decide if you like it or not.
My church used to do a chair exercise program online for seniors.
There might be some good ones on youtube, too.

Go to YouTube, and type in Caroline Jordan Chair Exercises. She has many programs, and you do them right along with her. If you don't like one? No big deal--just try another.

Sample some. Find what feels comfortable for a starting routine and build from there. Have fun!

@Ainhisg I second your recommedation.I pulled my hamstring last year and doc said no exercise for 3 months. It took forever to heal.In the meantime,I found her on youtube and now I do her routines at least 2-3 times a week with my other workouts. My core is much stronger now from her workouts. The one with the pilates ball is especially challenging. i have progressed in my weights while doing her cardio chair workouts too.

I have been using a Chair Gym exercise chair for many years. They are hard to find these days but if you can find one it's well worth getting it.
