@HerRoyaLioness wrote:I got a Dell all in one this time. I don't like lap tops and don't like MACs for my main computer and am sick of the big tower that a desk top needs, so I'm trying the all in one. It's like a cross between a desk top and a lap top. I have 2 ipads (one is old) and a 12 iphone and love them for what I use them for. Got it at Best Buy - this is it in totality. It has some nice features, pop up web cam, limited touch screen.
It's a beauty.

Finally made it to my onc dr appt yesterday--Uber showed up on time--both to and back from appt.
Labs are all normal and the rest is too--don't go back until a year from now. ![]()
However found out the arimidex I take was what was making me feel horrendously awful for the last few months. Have never selt so bad since the last month of chemo---everything hurt and ached from bottom of my feet to my head and all in between, not sleeping and gaining weight in my belly--got a gut now---Dr said "oh, it's the cancer meds you take--I was on tamox but found a thickening in my uterus so had the D&C in Jan. and changed to the arimidex----so I am off that for week or 2 to see if things clear up, then back to tamox til the end of 2022. Just have to get an ultra sound each year. Searched google for the side effects for arimidex and out of the 20 or so---I had all but a few---literally the symptoms were exact.
GC--can't imagine what it must be like with sister---how is mom taking it?

Pam, hopefully that is the culprit. Sounds like a good appointment.
We saw sister today. All she does these days is sleep. Week and a half ago, she was walking and talking. Week ago, she said a word here and there that made no sense. She looked at you, but she wasn't seeing you. Today she was out. Mother was taking it well until we left. It's just such a crazy situation.

GC they have her heavily medicated for pain that's why she's sleeping so much. Is she on a pain pump?? The goal of hospice to is keep her pain free. Unfortunately she will not get much nutrition or fluids. You would have to be there all day to see what actually is going on. Can she tolerate less medication so she can be lucid?? Who knows.
Good report Pam

good morning all--
beautiful a.m.today and hot temps coming here--90 by Monday---
gotta get those a/c units in!! Now we are no wheres near the horrendous temps going on in the country now----
this is day 3 of not taking my cancer meds---and I think I feel better; onc dr said 1 to 2 weeks of not taking them that I will see if they truly are the culprit-still achey in the a.m. but not so much as before----
DD and I walked to our new fave taco place in our little world--got street tacos for dinner--very fun to be able to walk around here. Next Friday we will try a pizza place. WA state is days away from re-opening so places are gearing up to open. Finally---but I will be very careful and will wear masks while shopping still.
hope everyone is doing ok--GC--I think about you every day----

GC - I tried really hard to get this weather a little better for your homecoming and it isn't too bad today! I feel for you, having to deal with the awful illness of Sister. I hate cancer. Pam has a few choice words for it too and thankfully Jackie is our source of reason and levelheadedness.
Well, I'm finally on my new computer and loving it! My visiting DD set it up and everything seemed to transfer over. Plus, I'm down to ONE cord - to plug the computer in!!! Wireless mouse, wireless keyboard, no extra speakers to plug in, it's awesome! It was a nightmare before with the 5 ft pile of cords behind the computer.
Pam - it sounds wonderful to be able to walk around like that - I think we need to do more of it. I knew there would be things you would really enjoy and will enjoy in the future, being free and starting a new journey. I think you will feel better off that med - I know my sister had some issues with it.

@HerRoyaLioness ----I LOVE getting new tech stuff!!! and only ONE?? cord??? amazing! will have to seriously look into that--my laptop is acting just plain stupid lately--DS was supposed to check it out but we both forgot--Yes I am glad that I am off that med-----feeling ok not the greastest yet--will give it another week--
Yes it is great to walk around our little area--. Sat, DD and I walked into town for our weekly shopping trip----then on the way home stopped at a restaurant and got a light lunch----got home and stripey cat was waiting very patiently ----TO BE FED!!! WHERE HAVE YOU PEOPLE BEEN --IT'S ALMOST 20 minutes PAST MY 3;40 DINNER
so funny how she sits nicely but can look at you like she will eat your liver!!!! And we have noticed that her coat is sleek and no bald spots from her chewing on herself, she is sleek and very svelt for an old gal----wish I could say the same thing about moi
---this is the calmest period in her life in the the last 3 years---and no stupid man bugging her --he really made her mad------I can't tell you how many times she scratched him and made him bleed---dumb A*S![]()

Jackie, no pump. Sister went from 0 to 100. She talked pain until she couldn't talk. We saw her Weds. She was in a somewhat peaceful sleep. Thurs afternoon got a call from hospice nurse she said her condition deteriorated and she had 3 or 4 days. Got a call hours later saying she passed. It's just too crazy to make sense of. We have a small funeral tomorrow afternoon.
Weather is hot here. Too hot for me. Lion, I am coming next Sunday.

@GCR18God --Oh my God!!! I am so very sorry!! Am beyond shocked as I am sure all you are. All this happened so fast it takes my breathe away. Please know I am thinking about you and the family and feel so bad for all this!

GC I'm so sorry for your loss. She had a peaceful ending which was a blessing. You did everything you could for her. She was very lucky to have you as a sister. Sending you a big hug. You know we are always here for you.
