Pam I'm sure your family are concerned about you and they will probably bring up the topic. If not you can always kvetch to us. Whenever there is a problem with one of us the phone is ringing off of the hook. we need to vent here and sometimes need advice. Most of the time need advice.Someone always has a different angle to handling a problem.

I am truly impressed by my pension people. I received a phone call yesterday saying it was a follow-up call to see how I was doing with getting my direct deposit going again. I said your really calling me?? I had some questions and said I can't thank you enough. Of course I had to call eveyone to tell them.

I hate finding new Dr's. Hopefully you'll get some good ones. My brother says he hates all of the Dr's in Florida. He's already been through 3 dentists.

Yup Lannie. What kind of computer did you buy. I have an apple i pad. Pam if you go with apple it's very different than windows. Will take some getting used to.

@JackieHN ---Yes MACS are different than PC --- I had one years ago---  I have Ipads now and an iphone so kind of know what to do, altho am far from being the wannabe tech whiz . haven't had any trouble with my PC for the last 5 years I've had it, until Microsoft Edge reared it's ugly head---then it has been crazy annoying---and next June M/ Edge will be the OS for good then I will start looking for something different. But DS is a computer master  so he will clean it up.

Nice some government programs for us old folks are doing their job--geez it literally took me almost 6 weeks, mostly 4 weeks of waiting, to get a stupid code to re set my social security acct. Needed to send in a statement of my puny monthly s/s check to lawyers for my one and ONLY  asset on their spread sheet. Code  HAD to be sent  thru USPS-----

No I think my family will prob not bring anything up ---and really that is fine with me--- we want to have a nice meal--I'm sure they are shaking in their boots thinking I will start in--I won't Woman Tongue

boy the weather peeps are really going to town on our upcoming atmosphereic river / pineapple express-- rain EVENT, starting tonight until Monday---supposed to get over an inch of rain --- a HUGE deal for this time of year here-, I guess, -and way more humidity than we ever get---we will see---time for the AC to get set up.

I got a Dell all in one this time. I don't like lap tops and don't like MACs for my main computer and am sick of the big tower that a desk top needs, so I'm trying the all in one.  It's like a cross between a desk top and a lap top. I have 2 ipads (one is old) and a 12 iphone and love them for what I use them for. Got it at Best Buy - this is it in totality.  It has some nice features, pop up web cam, limited touch screen.

Zoom in on Front Zoom. Dell - Inspiron 24" Touch screen All-In-One - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - 512GB Solid State Drive - Silver.

Pam - just a little advice from experience (my kids were older when I got divorced) - keep the kids out of it - it makes them uncomfortable, and they really don't need to know any details at all.  It starts getting them involved and possibly taking sides which will end up disturbing the peaceful relationships.  A general comment here or there is fine if they ask, otherwise it sounds like you are on the right track - don't ruin your time with them!

Jackie's right - come to us - we'll listen!!

@HerRoyaLioness ---I really like the look of the all-in-one PC's--just am not crazy about the OS. And is it white? Like that too. My TV is white. but really like laptops too--will be a decision for another time, DS is going to dive into the bowels of this thing to see what evil is lurking----ooooooohh so dramatic!

My kids are in their 40's and they already know what a  medicore father they have/had-- they knew it 25+ years ago so they are all for dumping him--don't think they will have anything to do with him once I am out done with this-----in fact they wondered why I waited so long. But I don't discuss much with them, never did, except for DD-- she is captive audience these days and she knows first hand how things are/were. I KNOW she will have nothing to do with him ever again. And if DS wants to reach out--that's fine, but I seriously doubt he will. Now if I had younger kids, I would absolutely not involve them----thx tho.Woman Wink

Wow Lannie, she's a beauty. For some reason I always get my computers at best buy. Walk in and out with one. I think they are the cheapest around. I'm not really an apple person. Yes I have an ipad and apple iphone but I hardly do anything with either of them. I like my windows.

Pam you just have a good time today.

I thought I was here the other day.  I must be losing it. It's like ground hog day here.  I am leaving Saturday.  Sister has gone from being up and talking, etc, to now being in bed all day.  She's heavily medicated and what words she says make no sense.  She's been moved to a private room.  She's eating and drinking next to nothing.  Her college roommate came on Thursday and left today.  She basically stayed there the majority of the time.  We're going to see sister tomorrow afternoon.

Jackie, it is a bit odd going out and about.  Wear a mask, don't wear a mask.  It's all so confusing. LOL.  Took the afternoon off and took mother to lunch, for a haircut and a mani peddie.

I don't think anything else is going on.  Weather is alright.  It cooled a bit and is on it's way up.
