Haven't gotten BP monitor yet, the more I look the more confused I get.  Omron is the brand I'm looking at, upper arm one.  I may just get the cheapest like Jackie said - I don't think I need all the bells and whistles on it, just need an accurate BP reading, which they all should give.

Jackie, you are brave to get the implants!  So do you have osteoporosis, that the bone structure in your mouth isn't good?  I should be taking my calcium on a more regular basis, looks like it can affect all parts of our bodies.

I would give anything to go have a good burger joint burger!!!  I miss that so much!  I have gone though Culver's drive through, but there's one place here that has the best burgers ever, but I'm not there yet to go in and sit down - maybe takeout.  Have had Chinese take out a couple times - get 2 dinners and eat on them all week.

I've had such a bad sore throat for the last couple days and it's got white patches and streaks and redness, like strep.  Looks really angry as they say.  Weird.  Where could I get strep anyway???

Pam, I can't believe you got that much snow!!  We don't even have that much here, but it is way cold, like -20 wind chill. Brrr!  Hope Stripey cat is doing ok.

Lannie that's the company that makes the best BP monitors. I know it started with an O. Couldn't remember the name. Whichever one you pick should be fine.

Nope i don't have osteoporosis. When a bad tooth is in your mouth it destroys the bone. Husband told me to get it out. Covid hit. The dentist was closed for 3 months. So like an idiot I waited. Implants are not considered an emergency and the only thing he could have done was to yank the tooth.  Implants aren't painful. I had 3 at one time. They are just expensive. Husband said i could get a bridge but I would need crowns on each side plus the cost of the bridge. It comes out to almost the same.

I recovered from my hamburger. I am certainly not used to eating like that. We use the air fryer all of the time and I try my best to stay away from meat. However a burger from burger king would have been satisfactory.

Well nephew got the Covid. He works in Costco. He's OK. Stepson and family are stuck in Perth Australia. Staying with his ex wife.  They planned on going to Melbourne tomorrow to be with her family but they are on lockdown. I asked my husband if he instilled any brains in his son. Who brings a baby on a 18 hr trip from the UK to Australia during a pandemic because they just had to get out of the UK because of the lockdown. I said lot's of things are going to happen to them in their lives. Are they going to run away  from that too?? These millennials are too much.

I lost track of the days.  Mother is fine.  The last couple days she's taken her pain pills and slept most of the day.  Tomorrow is surgery 2.  The Dr isn't sure if he can pull things closed and stitch it up.  The other option is to shave skin off the thigh and add it on top.  Both Drs will be there.  Ones a oncology surgeon and the other a plastic surgeon.  She will likely be staying over.

Rebooked my flight for March 17.  That should be okay.

Sisters been on good behavior.  No visitors yet.  Every other week, nursing comes down with covid.  The clock was reset, so have to have no new covid for 2 weeks.  Sister's had her 2 shots.

Mother's had one, I had to cancel shot 2 due to it being too close to surgery 1.  Dr said no because she may get a fever.  Shot 2 is rescheduled for Friday.  I may move it to Monday.  We'll see.

@GCR18  - hope everything went ok today with Mother's 2nd surgery and she was able to be closed up without too many problems.  Too bad you can't see Sister - this virus, after dealing with it for a year now, is just getting so frustrating.  I'm double masking now when I go out, as advised.

@ukseahawk - so good to hear from you - how has everything been going for you?!?

If I remember correctly, you are my sister in Triple Negative, right?  I still have the lumps of necrosis from my surgery and a few left over side effects from chemo, but I am alive and an 8 yr survivor!  I'm retired and so glad I no longer have to work.  You take care and keep in touch!

Dr said surgery couldn't have gone better.  They kept mother overnight.  They did have to take skin from the thigh.

That's all that's going on here.

@Zaimee - good for you and yay for us!!! 🎈🎉🎈

As I'm sure you know, TN is a nasty one. I had 2 kinds of chemo, full radiation and lots of complications along the way, and am glad to be done with it!  The people on this board helped me get through a lot-feel free to lurk or stop in anytime!

Hope your check up is a good one! 😀
