I love that kitty.  I don't know how long I have to keep the secret.  I'm guessing until January.  I can keep a secret, but this isn't a secret I want to keep.  I want it out in the open.  The delay is because there was a reevaluation of job descriptions and pay.  Everyone has to have a talk about their situation with their boss. The majority have no change.

I'm ready for the scan results.  I go at 3pm on Tuesday to get them.  They may show up in the portal before then.

Jackie, I wouldn't be going out.  In my past life, I used to do a lot of stairs daily.  Here everything is flat.  It's rare I come in contact with stairs.

@GCR18   Many years ago, I took a job in the IT department in the company I retired from.  I was working in the audit department at the time and IT came looking in my direction for a senior analyst.  I applied for and got the job as senior analyst. Leadership said, since I didn't have previous IT experience, they would bring me in as an analyst and then once I was there a while and demonstrated that I knew what I was doing I would be upgraded to the senior analyst.  Hmmm I started the job in the fall of 1996.  It didn't take me long to demonstrate that I had an analytical mind and was technically (code) inclined. 

I was on the job maybe 3 years and had been running system implementations after the first (lol) when my team lead called me for a meeting in a conference room.

She told me that I was being promoted to senior analyst and to keep it to myself.  I looked at her and said, you're kidding me right?  I said is there a reason why this needs to be a secret or kept on the down low when it's common knowledge that the job I applied for and you hired me for was a senior analyst. 

She was getting more and more uncomfortable, which was exactly what I was going for (we need a devil emoji here).

I told her, look, if you don't think I'm worthy of the senior analyst position, just say it.  I satisfied the year in the job long ago and worked in another department before I found you and can work in another department after you.  I'm not going to be made to feel dirty because it took you 3 years to finally give me the job I applied for and won.

That's crazy birdmama.  My promotion is hard earned.  It's being pushed through as part of the job description reevaluation.  I don't get a raise for it.  That part stinks, but it's long over due.  I know the boss did it in my best interest and didn't think she'd get it approved the traditional route.  I'll take it.  Just want it known.  😊. The pay will work itself out.

Not a thing going on here.  So glad tomorrow is friday.  It was a short week, but I'm bushed.

I’m glad I’m out of those companies/managers tactics.  I took a higher more responsibility  position in coding, an Auditor.  Asked for pay raise 3 times as I ended up at the bottom of the range for that position, no cut in pay, just no raise, and was denied. The managers get more money/ bonuses if they keep their budget down.  No raise, me no be Auditor, I went back to clinic coding. Wasn’t going to play their game, not worth it. 

Jackie - got the poo and conditioner and thumbs up on it so far! 👍🏻  Hair seemed more shiny, with a little more body. 😃. Didn’t think I could tolerate the coconut smell of the conditioner, but it faded away, so it’s a go so far, thanks for the tip,

Birdie good for you. When I got my position they sent me a letter and then wow, a big 75 bucks a month extra. Take out taxes in NY and it came out to practically nothing. 

GC you can brag to us until they give you the OK to tell everyone else. May I ask what your new title will be??

Lannie I'm pleased with the shampoo. The conditioner will last forever. I like the idea that it has DHT blockers in it. And my hair does have a shine now.

Elevator still not fixed yet. And I'm not going anywhere. I was hysterical. After my phone call to management they put chairs in the landings on each floor. I guess if you develop chest pain you can sit for a spell.

Lion, it's hard to explain the pay in a couple sentences. I'll end up getting yearly bonus', but it will take a year to implement.  I would have gotten it at the old level, but at the new level it will be about $2000 larger.

I haven't a clue what the new title will be.  It should have consultant on the end though.

I'd like to see the sun again sometime soon, very dreary again today.  Will spend it doing wash that I've ignored for the last couple weeks, I'm running out of undies, lol!!
