I just wanted to let you know that I had my CLL blood tests yesterday, and everything is stable. My platelets are normal now, which is a good thing. My WBC is still high, but it went down a couple points since June. Other tests are about the same. I need to have blood tests again in December. I usually have blood tests every 6 months, but the hematologist was concerned about my high WBC and low platelets in June, and wanted me to have tests again in 3 months. I'm relieved that things are stable at this point in time.

Wonderful news on the board. Mia and GC got raving results from their Dr's. A beautiful wedding. Pam is on the last stretch of her renovation. Only thing missing is a picture of Remy.
Took husband and got our flu shots today. I heard of 4 cases so far. Pharmacist said smart move. It's coming early this year. After last year nope not taking any chances. I never want to be that sick again. But then again I'm not flying to Australia.Normally I would wait till the middle of Oct.
Well GC you have some tough choices to make. If you bring her home then you'll only hear how she wants to come home permanently. If you don't you'll feel guilty,. I can truly understand your dilemma....... Only you would be forced to travel to Canada in Jan.
Pam do you think you can manage not getting cellulitis this time. Let's see if the Dr's recommendations work. I figure you'll be packing your things up soon and shlepping them back to the house. It sounds like your house is going to be beautiful.
Lannie what's with the foot.

Mia and GC -applause for the good reports!!! Am doing happy dance, as well as I can, ha,ha!
I don't even mind that my team lost in a very close game, what I do mind is how dirty the other team played, right of the bat and continued it through the whole game. They're a good team they don't need to play like that and their coach shouldn't let them. They should have been thrown out a couple times. Everyone is furious about it. And they must have brought their own refs.......oh don't even get me started ......
My foot is actually getting better - went to one of our good shoe stores and found out they were going out of business. Well, one of the sales ladies took me over to a pair of funky looking Vionics and said these would cure my PF. I told her I wasn't looking for a cure, just a good pair of shoes for the winter. She said a lady that had PF for 2 yrs got cured wearing these shoes for 2 weeks. Ya right. Of course I ended up buying them in the end and one other pair of Vionics, these types of shoes are never on sale.
1/2 day of wearing them and my foot started feeling better. I couldn't believe it. Been 1 1/2 weeks and I'm not cured, but much better. Still hurting some and can't wear any other of even my "good" shoes for very long, but these are being life savers for me right now. I was to the point of planning amputation. I'm hoping it continues.
Jackie, soon you will have a new bedroom! Pam, soon you will have a new house!
Em, hope the wedding went well, sound like it was going to be fun and that's what weddings should be!
Off to ice my heel and go to bed.

@JackieHN-----tomorrow...... is the 3 week mark from my last anti-b pill from round 5 of celluitis----so we will see if it comes back--thats been the MO--days on ammox then 3 weeks later-----good grief!!!
Yes it appears the house adventure is in the home stretch altho no one was there yesterday
----makes me CRAZY. but the hubs said the roof insulation got blown in and someone cleaned up the joint. Still so much to do before we can move back and makes me really nervous---
mia--fabulous news !!!
lannie---can PF be cured? but good you found some comfy shoes. My hubs does not go without something on his feet except in the shower--he ALWAYS wear his shoes even getting up to piddle in the middle of the night!!! HA--I'm a poet!! He found and wore a PF sock contraption at night that really helped him and as far as I know, he hasn't had much trouble with it since and that has been at least 3 years now
Will move into a semi new house---most of the newness is upstairs so no one will know anything has changed when they walk in the front door--still same ole out dated place--so not as excited as if I got my kitchen /powder room re done too--but will with hold judgement---and after going thru all this--am greatful the damage was not the entire house.
Our rain has been way over the top here too--many inches above the norm for rain for this month. Had to turn on the heat yesterday.
Stripey cat has an arch enemy next door here at the rental--a male Siamese looking cat that roams and poops over at my house---he sees her and climbs the fence between the house and just sits there watching the spectical that Stripey displays at his very presence. OMG---she puffs up and yowls and growls and runs from window to window just to catch a glimpse--rather funny really.
ok--today I'm going to find some huge plastic planter pots as I got my lily bulbs yesterday, to replace the ones that never made it thru..... tree-ma-geddon, and also need some plant soil too----- it time to plant those puppies for next year--think I might plant some early spring bulbs too, like daffodils, tulips and the like on top of them. Never done that before--may be kind of fun. Bulbs are pretty easy plants really.
so all-- a good weekend to you!!

Lannie, vionics are the best. However I refuse to pay top dollar for them. I go to Zuilily or 6pm to get them cheaper. My last pair were only 50 bucks. I've been wearing them all summer. It helps with my back.
Pam, be careful.

Wow Lion. I didn't notice the dirty playing. Can't say I understand the rules very well, but I try. I've come a larger my way baby.
Yes, I see vionics on Zulily often. I've seen them somewhere else recently, but am not sure where.
Good news Mia. 🎉🎉🎉
Pam, it will be good going home. You can paint the living room to make it feel new.
Jackie, I'm going to Canada soon. Don't see how I wouldn't go. They need two people trained in a hurry. Only problem is they haven't hired them yet. It was GA that was postponed to January. Where I'm going isn't a concern. It's the getting out of dodge and back in that's the concern.
Sister was on the when do I go home topic today. She agreed over everything I said. I told her I had to go now the lawn. She said I'll call you back. I said what for. She said to continue the conversation. I told her there is nothing to talk about. That's the problem, we keep having the same conversation. Does she not remember? That's what drive s me crazy. She typically remembers things, so is she playing games or doesn't remember. If she doesn't remember, is she not as sharp as I think she is. There lies the problem.

Happy New Year one and all. It's that magical time of the year when the book of life is opened on Rosh Hashana and closed on Yom Kippur. There is a 10 day period when we review our actions and repent on Yom Kippur by fasting. I wish you all good health and a prosperous New Year.
There is a prayer that we say on Rosh Hashana where you dip an apple in honey. So I send husband out to buy apples. What does he bring me back?? two rotten apples I said you didn't even check them before you bought them. His answer was I don't believe in any of this. I told him it's not what you believe in. I asked you to me a favor. I'm not getting upset.
GC your sister sounds like she has selective amnesia.

A belated thank you for all your support and cyber hugs.
My bonescan showed additional metastases in my ribs so, perhaps best those hugs are cyber!
I haven't gotten the final word yet that all the screening tests results are okay for me to begin the trial but, I am on the schedule to begin on the 8th.
The ultrasound guided biopsy went smoothly. (Didn't even tear up like I did the previous one! I don't know whether this doctor was more skilled or because the tumour being different now made less pressure necessary.)
Finally, a week with no medical tests! It was wonderful. (The only thing medical I did was to get my flu shot after my hair appointment)
3 weeks taking only my blood pressure & cholesterol meds, I feel like I am on a drug vacation too.
Also, a short vacation from my husband. (Happy dance, carefully!). He has been working out of state for a couple weeks so, it has been extra relaxing. After all his years in the Navy and his travelling for his civilian job, I always enjoy his time away. (Though I do miss him when it is time to do physical things like carry the garbage down the stairs to the dumpster!)
Sounds like you all have been busy. I feel so lazy and I have so much I want/need to get done.
Take care and thanks again for your support.

@JackieHN If I lived near ya, I would bring this over to your place

If you can even get a decent piece or two off the apple, dip it in honey for just you. Since DH doesn't believe, then just wish yourself a sweet new year ahead ![]()

Jackie, I don't know what to say about that husband of yours. Did he deliberately but bad apples? That's not nice.
today was supposed to be a wash out. It ended up being sunny and 82. I took today off and had outdoor things to do. By the time I realized it was drying up and nice, I was in the middle of doing something else.
I know sister plays games with me and I also know sometimes she has no recollection of something. I called her out on it the other day. She lectured me on how it's not uncommon for people to forget things. 😳 Then went on to tell me I forget things.
