The first part of the name is Bouvier......

@Danky For some reason that sounds familiar to me but I can't place her. We must be going back before the forums changed.

GC you'll be fine. It's very difficult to be objective when your going for the testing. Graciesmom same for you. Ladies all of our names were put on the glass coffin of Padre Pio in Sept, remember?? Now all of you can remind me of this post when I go for my colonoscopy next month when I'm bouncing off of the walls.
Graciesmom I don't know what the answer is to the high cholesterol and lipids. I just know that I did research on it and told my husband let's try the krill oil. It worked for him. The statins are wicked. He's on the diabetic protocol and as you know the statins are on it whether you have high cholesterol or not.
Pam sounds like stripey cat is on the mend. Give her a kiss for me. The saga with the lemon truck continues.
Trying to organize for the trip April 5th. Husband walked one block and complained about his back. I said ruin this trip for me and you can stay in the UK. He won't take anything. Won't use ice or a heating pad. Just complains. Not in the mood.
Birdmama, yes Goldie and her chickens. She would talk about them all of the time. I would get concerned when it was too cold or hot outside. She always told me she has it under control not to worry.

I'm not worried about the test. It's been so long I've been to the Dr, I'm rusty having to show it all. I don't like the part of letting it all hang out at either appointment. You get used to it when you do it alot. Now that I no longer do it alot, I'm back to being self conscious. It will be fine, I just won't like it. LOL
Nothing much going on here. Work is going to be crazy this week, so the week will fly. The boss is back tomorrow. Broke a bone and has been out.

Just gotta suk it up I guess. I read thread daily and follow all your adventures and enjoy comments.
Pam, you household sounds like mine.

Danky....
Yes, I am very close friends with the woman who used a dog's breed in her forum name----why do you ask?
I don't remember anyone with your forum name--do I know you?

Jackie....
Krill oil? Did it help your husband's cholesterol and his other lipids too? Where do you buy it?
My husband takes prescription Omega-3 fish oil twice a day, but that doesn't seem to make much of a difference in his blood results. I used to take it and also didn't see better reesults, so I stopped taking it--couldn't afford for both of us to take it.
We both see our internist at the end of April--will see what he suggests then--I know he's not happy we stopped taking Lipitor--but it becomes a quality of life issue.
Thanks for reminding me about all of our names being placed on Padre Pio's coffin---I could use the reassurance right now. Two more days until I know my scan results. Pure torture. Plus am seeing a new oncologist--hope she's not the alarming type--I will have to ask if I could switch to a different oncologist if she is--cannot tolerate doctors that scare me. Even when I'm stable, doctors like that downplay the good news--and recommend more and more tests. My former oncologist wass just the opposite--I loved her and feel bad she cannot see me anymore--she specializes in breast cancer now and her gyn cancer patients were shuffled off to a couple of new oncologists--but we'll see.

I tried to take the rx Niaspan, which is niacin, recently, as my new cardi dr likes those types of things instead of the statins, especially since I get side effects with all the stains----but I had some side effects wth it so need to go back to him again. I do take fish oil, but not krill, and co q 10 as per my dr.
So I ordered my new dishwasher yesterday and will get it on Thursday; not sure when it will get installed--am paying someone to do it as the hubs wants nothing to do with it------got a GE brand in stainless steel. I was loading up my dish washer yesterday and noticed that there was a lot of water in the bottom and that is was the full of this gery, dirty, sludgey stuff----and then the upper water thing the spins to wash the upper dishes had the same type of gunk coming out the holes and all the inside was covered wth dirty spots !!!! OK the thing is 19 years old---but what a gross thing---must have just happened since my last washing. Now I get to hand wash all my dishes for a few days!!!
Stripey cat is back to her normal sweet self--anti b's kicked in the day after her vet check. Will get her teeth cleaned in a few weeks and she will be good. Glad she is better---you could really tell how punk she was.
Not heard about the last construction bid due yet------will give them a few days and then call. Been emailing them but maybe they need to hear a human voice!?? DD and I are getting a little antsy to get started with this. As soon as we finally get a contractor, we will need to arrange for a temp place to rent for a couple months and set up those moving pods to move all the --------stuff into for awhile.
OK so that is it for awhile------

Graciesmom I put him on mega red krill oil by Schiff. Got it on amazon because they are the cheapest or BJ's has it. Probably costco as well. It helped him with his lipids but it won't do anything for the cholesterol. He takes lipitor and it doesn't bother him. I say this. What do you have to lose.
Hey Pam, very exciting about your dishwasher. I sat with a chair and just watched my new washing machine run and to check all of the buttons on what it can do. You'll be amazed on how quiet these new dishwashers are.
Maestra your getting there with your recovery.
GC I hear you about undressing. The first thing they teach us in nursing school is protecting one's privacy. To us nurses we are nuts. We could care less. No shame.

BFF that is great news. Things are falling into place. You'll be dancing in no time.
New dishwasher is exciting. Hopefully those contractors get on the stick, so the show can get on the road. Temporary housing sounds challenging. A co-worker had smoke damage to the inside of her house. They had to have the house taken down to the studs and rebuilt. She was on a work trip with me. Her husband was at the house and turned the dishwasher on before leaving for work. A lid from a plastic container bounced around the washer and landed on the heating coils and burned all day. She had to buy everything new for temporary housing and only had the clothes that were in her suitcase. She was borrowing all kinds of things.
The snow is almost gone. Should be totally gone in another day. Grass is dead, but I have hope that spring is coming. 🌷🌼🌸🌻
