GCR....Is your WBC low on all your tests now??? Good luck on upcoming trip!
Mae....Glad you have that first visit behind you. Your PTherapist sounds like you have a good one. OTOHand, your hubs sounds like a real charmer....a bona fide bully with a capital B. Your cortisol levels must stay pretty high.
I know the feeling of thinking that you're doing more harm than good in PTherapy. Guess you just have to have faith that your therapist knows what he/she is doing.
80 here as well yesterday. Early morning very heavy fog then the sun broke thru. We are getting covered in pollen here. Are you?
Jackie....Sounds like your hubs is a Mr. Needy Little Boy. Bet your cortisol levels are high too. My ears perked up when hearing my daughter speak of a past boyfriend....saying "I'm not his Mama....oh No, No, No!" I was pleased she could recognize that kind of behavior in him.
Are you still going to England soon?
Happy TGIF to all!

@maestra---yes the first few p/t appts are rough--but keep working at it. I know how much it hurts but believe me it will get better--next week you will see just how much your hard work pays off if you do you homework, little by little.
And the hubs---man alive--give me a 2 x 4 to work these men over with---had to yell at mine last night to simmer down or he will stroke out and no why will I care for him--to the home he will go!!! He was riled up over this stupid house thing----all ready to get a lawyer cuzz he THINKS we are being ripped off by ins co--and we are not---just standard ins ----nonsense ----lordy!!!!

Mae that's why I don't bring my husband to any of my Dr's appointments. It's all about him. You'll do fine in PT. Yeah the first couple of times are rough.
Pam just tell husband not to think. It's dangerous. They are sooooo stupid. My stupid husband goes to pick up his meds yesterday. I said call the pharmacy first to see if it's ready. NO. OK he gets there and the Dr forgot to call it in. Then he had to wait an hour for everything to come in and have it filled. I said Bazil needed you here. Why don't you listen.
I grew up where my father was the king of the roost. My mother always taught me. You take care of your husband first. Yeah well I never found a man like my father who was a saint.
Good for the girls now. It's time these men grow up.

Jackie....I kissed several Frogs and married and divorced 2 Toads before I found the Prince of my life who is now deceased. I sympathize and empathize with those of you who are in relationships that are challenging. My Dad was a great guy, and my 3rd husband did have many of his traits! Fortunately, I never had children with the first two hubs, but do have the one daughter with whom I consider "my husband". She absolutely knows she was raised by a gem of a Dad. I had the good fortune to be with him for 30 years.

One thing, we sure learn to be independent when we have a husband that is not, in fact, a partner in our marriage. Why did we not recognize this and take action before we married them - because we were thinking with our hearts and not our brain and good sense, like bow's daughter and my son who just ended a what would have been a disastrous relationship in a marriage. Kudos for them recognizing it. Comments like the cry baby one prove how childish and permanently immature they are. Wish we could just smack them silly but it wouldn't do any good. I think they are jealous of us and try to take us down any way they can and when we don't buckle they get mad and lash out at what they know bothers us. It's hard to live with that.
We have sunshine here today, but starting tomorrow some more bad winter weather. No pollen concerns in the winter, just dryness. My poor nose!
Supposed to go to a baby shower tomorrow in GC's neck of the woods, but won't drive in bad weather anymore. Hope I can get there. Made a boy receiving blanket out of flannel - they have the cutest prints out these days. Paired the print squares with a soft gray buffalo print and it's perfect, didn't want it too babyish, wanted it kind of little boyish and it turned out pretty good.
Well, off to mail my taxes to my accountant and get badly needed groceries.
Everyone hang in there!
Edited for grammar and spelling errors. I do use spell check. I used to get A's in English and win Spelling Bees, what the heck is happening to me?!!! I think my keys stick on my keyboard, yes, that's it.....

Thanks for the words of support ladies; I'll have DH just drop me off at PT in the future.

Lion, the weather man hasn't decided about the weather yet. Could be little, could be alot. I'm okay with little since I have two driveways to worry about.
heading north a week from sunday. Yahoo.
Bow, no WBC problems. RBC is usually low. I can feel it. No where near as bad as when I was getting transfusions though. That was bad.

GC - the weatherman has forecast everything from rain to sleet to icy mix to snow to thunder to a lull and then more snow and 40 mph wind. Right now it is snowing huge fluffy flakes, really beautiful actually. I still have to try and go out for groceries, didn't make it yesterday. Only had enough energy to do two of my errands. Sigh. Hopefully next week will be better. Are you having fun with your kitty?

Today we'll go into high 70's, then plummet into 40's. Everyone is getting sick in schools; I feel ok considering.
Had a rough night last night-pain from PT and general restlessness. Doesnt help that sweet Red decides to walk all over me in the middle of the night (we think he gets up to patrol the permineters of the house-previous rescued dog Indy did this nightly as well).
I am thinking about having Vicoden Rx refilled-dont use daily but sometimes Aleve isnt helping. Always try Aleve first, tho.
I'm very cautious around opiate use-consequences are terrifying for those who get suked into addiction.

@maestra----you are not going thru anything abnormal about the pain from p/t, especially the first appt. Just ice it alot and take your pain relief when you need too--being in pain does not help with the healing at all. It will prob hurt for awhile---all those ligaments and tendons have been on vaca for awhile so they are yelling at you for making them do their jobs!! Do you have a topical cream for sore muscles you can put on it? I use Blue Emu and I put in a few drops of tea tree oil with it-----seems to really help me out. Agree with the opiates and over use too- I can't take ANY pain med except tylenol and very rarely, any of the nsaids-----
Mae--where do you live again? I read about your nice, warm temps and just dream about them here in WA state--still have alot of snow on the ground and temps in the low 40"s, which I know sounds like paradise to the artic vortex folks
-------my stripey cat would and does the same thing when I am snoozing--jumps right on my gut--all 14 lbs of her!!! She sleeps in her cage at night and has since we got her---she is a bed hog too!!
hang in there--you can get the blue emu at any store and prob the tea tree oil there too.
