Loved seeing her again and had a wonderful time talking with her!  Wish you all could have been there.

The food looks wonderful. NO lectures from me. Just glad both of you enjoyed yourselves. Wish we could have been there too.

Have a bloody cold. Mother in law now has aspiration pneumonia added to her urinary tract infection. She stopped eating. When that happens it's about the end of the road. Husband is going with his aunt tomorrow to see her. Sister in law was babbling how she couldn't stay with her because she had to take down the Christmas tree. Trust me ladies I feel like I'm in the twilight zone here.

Yes, Lioness behaved herself.  Lunch was tasty.  Fish fry is a Wisconsin thing.  I just finished my brownie.  Lioness looked smashing.  I think she was pulling our leg that she's tired from the move.

I told Lioness that was my last meal.  I have to refine my diet for 2017.  2016 got away from me some how.  That is resolution #1.

Drs office called while I was out having a leisurely lunch.  I have gout.  My middle toe on the left foot was red, hurt a little, all toes were stiff and I couldn't bend them.  Things are a bit better today.  I have to pickup a prescription tomorrow.  3 pills a day for 10 days.

It was cold today.  Bone chilling cold.  It started out sunny, but turned overcast.

Oh Jackie, Jackie--so sorry about the MIL. Such a hard thing to go thru for the family and MIL too. Maybe things will turn around????? You take care of that cold. Chicken soup and what else is a cure??  I find taking a packet of Emergency does me alot of good. Yep family is truly from the Twilight zone sometimes (most times) Oye!!!

Lannie/Gcr---yes your lunches looked amaze balls!!!! And glad the dodging and weaving in the parking lot was uneventful. Know what you mean about tweaking the diet as I will be tweaking big time too. Have managed to keep of the 15 lbs I lost in the hospital recently so don't have much more to get rid of; it's the spare tire I have around the middle that I am going to work on. Where in the world that came from----who knows!!!? Think being flat has a lot to do with it tho. Boobs hold up some of the flab, I think. I got a reminder in the mail yesterday to schedule my mammo appt---------hahahahahahaha-yippeeee-------just tore that baby up and threw it away.

Very frosty this a.m. Supposed to get tiny amount of snow, maybe just flurries tonight and then temps near freezing in the day and in the low 20's at night for a few days, but dry and sunny. Still got my herbs outside so will cut them and dry them in the micro today.

So happy NY to you all!!!! Chat with you next year!!!!

Oh my goodness! Lannie and Pam my mouth is watering. What a feast. I think it's so great you two can get together! 

Jackie I'm sorry about your mil. It's difficult to have someone dear so ill during the holidays. I'm praying for a recovery for her. 

Anyone with big New YearS Eve plans?  We are having a few guests over for our second annual new years eve game night. Last year we had a great time, lots of laughs!

Jackie, I'm sorry to hear about your MIL, she sounds pretty sick.  You just hang in there with your "Twilight Zone" family (LOL, Pam!) and make sure to take care of yourself.  If I was there I would wait on you hand and foot, but I'm thinking no one is going to be doing that for you. 

So, GC, it WAS gout.  Well, I would have diagnosed it correctly had it been in your big toe, where gout is supposed to be!!!  Next time tell your feet that, lol!  Thanks again for coming over to "my town" and having lunch with me.  I really enjoy our visits.  It's like we can say anything to each other and just be ourselves.

maestra, mia, graciesmommy, emalyn, Goldie, birdmama, Pam, bow, I know I'm not remembering everyone, but I treasure your posts here, read them all and wish the very best for all of you in our sisterhood of survival.

2016 is a year I never want to repeat.  Even though some good things happened to me, they were all way overshadowed by the tragedy of my granddaughter's death.  So, 2016 - good riddance to you.

Nothing going on here in Wa state. I got my DD and hubs home until next year---they elected to take today off. Stripey cat is on her post on my rack with my computer stuff, surveying her domain. The weather is kind of grey and foggy but dry. Going to get chilly for us for the next 5 days so will be dressing in multi layers, like that is something new.

Been kind of upset over the recent passings of Debbie and Carrie--I can't believe how many notable people died this year!! Goodbye 2016---you s#ucked!!!!
