Well Kitty, can't say I didn't tell you so with the zofran. Your going to have to learn to speak up. Don't feel bad I puked after my first chemo and I had the zofran. Didn't think I would need it. WRONG!! After my first trip to the bathroom I took it and continued to take it for about 2 days. I lowered the dose to 1/2 a pill to see how it went. She didn't give me that many so I had to stretch them. I had it down to a science. Took 1/2 and in a couple of hours took another half. I think the script was for every 8 hrs if I'm correct. By the 3rd and 4th chemo I was taking a whole one for the first day afterwards. Ginger ale and ginger tea are your new friend.  Next time you'll be smarter. Drink that water. As far as the neulasta shot it's whatever works. Some say claritin helps. I took motrin and had my heating pads fired up. Just take a deep breath. The pain ends.

Oh by the way girls I'll have a Strawberry Margarita although I would like to drink Southern comfort again. Lord did I get drunk from that. We just passed around the bottle. Ah the good old 60's.

hello all, no posts today? Hope everyone is ok.

Jackie I'm not exactly proud of it but I've put away some southern comfort too, lol I drank it because I read that Janis Joplin drank it! Can you think of a dumber reason to pollute ones body with that poison ? I was very young and not too bright lol  hopefully I've been forgiven for all my stupidity and learned my lesson

. Everybody have a good day

Goldie, Janis was the reason we all drank it. At least she had good taste in booze.

I wasn"t a fan of SoCo myself, but I did hoist a few white russians. Man alive, just thinking about those makes me wobbly

.

So the hubs and friends went down to Portland, OR to drive show cars for the Mecum Car auction that starts tomorrow. He'll be gone til Sunday. I will getting ready for my new washer/dryer coming on Monday. Not alot going on around here. Weather has been cold, and rainy lately. Even got 5 inches of snow in the mountains a few days ago. Have been wrapped up in long sleeves, long pants and sweatshirts with the heat on for the last several days. Boring!!!!!!!!

Down to this day I cannot drink Southern Comfort - I won't elaborate, but just the thought of it makes me ill, LOL!!

Pam, what kind of washer and dryer are you getting?  How exciting!!

Ha Ha Lannie got super drunk on Janis juice. I feel that same way with Sangria.

Yeah Pam, what kind of wsher and dryer did you get. Mine is 20 years old and it's going to drop dead soon. Except I need a 220 line for mine and I'm in a coop building. We only have 110 lines here. I don't even want to think how much it is going to cost.

Hello Ladies! Hope everyone is doing well.

i need a small favor----my beloved Gracie is ill and needs prayers to St Francis. Gracie has a bacterial gastric infection and was very sick all night until I could get her to the vet this morning. At first we thought it was recurrence of her pancreatitis, but thank God it is not (that test was negative). Gracie had Clostridium bacteria show up in her stool--she could've gotten it in our back yard--or on a walk. Since we have a lot of groundhogs, deer, chipmunks, skunks, squirrels, possum and birds in our area..she could've picked up the bacteria on her feet---and since she is so into her cleanliness, she licks and cleans her feet quite often--and then it can become a digestive problem. She is now on two antibiotics--amoxicillin and Flagyl--for ten days (hopefully she can keep food and her meds down--that's the key). My hubby and I are exhausted after being up all night with her.

I was able to get a bit of boiled chicken into her and then her pills--now she is sleeping in our bed--the vet gave her an anti-nausea injection and it knocked her out. The vet assured us there is no way to control Gracie not acquiring this bacteria--I remember she had it last summer--just before I was diagnosed with cancer for a third time. She felt better after the antibiotics kicked in--after a couple of days. However, she is a year older now and a bit more frail.

Thanks to everyone who says a short prayer for our beloved Gracie!!!!!!!!!

Well, just got done with a thoroughly enjoyable time with GCR.  She has hair!!!  Really nice, thick wavy, curly hair - it's awesome!

First of all, she tried to run me over in the parking lot, LOL - we came in at almost the same time and parked right next to each other, what are the chances of that happening.

We had a delightful lunch outside on their beautiful patio and had Panko crusted salmon with a slab of fresh mozzarella and some greens and tomato jam panini with a house salad, delish.  GCR treated me, she's so kind and generous.  To finish it off we had:

It was a delightful time, I'll let her fill in any other details.  Wish you all could have been there....

You know....you wouldn't have almost been run over if you were more careful in the parking lot.

Lunch was tasty.  We sat outside on the patio.  It was warm today, but it was comfortable out there.  The dessert was the best part.

Wish I could give up working and lunch everyday.  Who goes out for a three hour lunch?  Usually not me.

Ya I have lots of hair, but it's not very long.  Pre-cancer I had lots of hair.  Not sure who gave it to us, but my sister has lots of hair too.

Lannie was pretty in pink.

Lots of good food and conversation.
