HI Patty. I got diagnosed with breast cancer almost 2 yrs ago. The women on these boards are so helpful -don't feel bad about asking questions, even ones you think are stupid. We have all been there and everyone is so helpful!

My 2 words of wisdom are - bring along a friend to the dr appts, your head will be spinning and the friend can help remind you of what the dr's said.

HI to everyone - I hope you are all doing good. I've been dealing with my mom's health lately but she is on the mend.

Can you believe 2014 is almost over????

How is everyone doing? Busy with holiday plans, I suppose. Patty how are you doing? Have you had your port put in yet? Good to see your post UK. Come back and visit more oftenSmiley Happy Pam I let the birds have my hair too( the second time) but I didn't see any hairy nests lol, I guess we have to laugh don't we? Lannie, your " one day at a time " advice to patty is the best advice anyone can give her. We all have to deal with our lives one day at a time, for me, I get overwhelmed if I try to look ahead too much. A big shout out to all of our girls here. I'm too old to remember that many names! I took some very much needed advice and did some traveling outside of my house. I got my nails done on Saturday then went out to dinner with my parents. Since my treatment and subsequent adrenal problems I've not really had any alcohol (gone are those tequila shot days)...I had 2 drinks and seriously felt a bit tipsy (wasn't driving). I actually had a bit of fun. Very weird is that since then my blood glucose has been running in the low 80s. Last week it was in the mid 300s. That's the joy of having a wrecked adrenal system - Thank you Yervoy! Sunday I did a but more decorating. Even though it's just me and the furboys, the Christmas decor does make it nice.

Yesterday I had a cardiology appointment for a 6-month recheck and to go over my echo test results. Everything is perfect. Yayayay! I guess the Yervoy treatment was the cause for that one-time weird echo that suggested I has CHF. My Dad decided to come with so, we did a bit of Christmas shopping. Four stores, gifts for Mom, sister and nephew bought. I bought several shirts for my Mom and when I got home I realized the guy only charged me $5/shirt. I'm undecided if I should return to store and point out their error. Today I'm exhausted! Merry Christmas to me - STBEH's supposed to pick up the rest of his furniture tonight!!!!!

Patty, we are all here with you, blessing you with immeasurable strength. Your attitude is super! I was always the one to do for everyone else and learned, during my first cancer treatment how to ask for help. We all have things to learn. Some of us went through "chemo", others surgical, immunotherapy, etc., but we all know survivorship in one way or another.

Peace to you and everyone else!!

F1 laughing about the tequilas. Since I'm on paxil I don't drink anymore. How I miss a strawberry margarita. See I told you that you would feel better if you got out. And besides how can you be sad with a nice new manicure. OK question. I want to go for a pedicure. Now how do you manage this when it's cold outside and you can't wear sandals home??

Celtic I'm sure your coming along with your healing process. What did the biopsy show on what he removed.

Diana, I know this time is really bad for you right now. Check in and we'll chat about it.

Patty let us know how the biopsy went. Tomorrow should be your port.

UK good to hear from you.

And Goldie, sending hugs as alway.

Hi everyone, 3 weeks post surgery. Recovery coming along slowly but feeling better every day. This healing is serious business! Had a bit of a setback today regarding what was done during surgery but I don't want to say too much as I'm still trying to process it. F1 - glad to hear you got out and about. You so deserved the pampering and adult beverages. Jackie - thanks so much for asking after me. Got and read the pathology report today and I'm still trying to process what was done. Goldie - hope Your ca125 is falling rapidly. Patty - I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Wishing you the very best. You have come to the right place. The gals on here are a super supportive bunch.

I live in Arizona where 70F is considered cool. Sandals? No problem! Cool

My advice would be to get your pedi and while you wait for the tootsies to dry get a mani. See, problem solved. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Hi Ladies - those strawberry margaritas are sounding really good!! CelticAngel thinking about you and everyone else on this board. I had the biopsy Tuesday and yesterday the port. Trying to deal with year end stuff at work right now. Now the wait. I am going to see another oncologist for another opinion (I do not expect it to be different but it will appease my kids) on Friday then I have the port checked. Everyone take care and hugs to all

Celtic, I wouldn't worry too much about what was removed. I would only be concerned about if everything is benign. Gad you are healing up nicely.

Patty do you have a Cancer treatment center where you are?? They are suppose to be wonderful.

Have to get moving. Will write later.

Jackie - I am not sure. I am near Walnut creek CA but I have Kaiser so I don't think I would be covered. Money is an issue for us.
