You said you wish you would've figured this out when you were younger...and that you used to eat Dominos & Snickers. If you don't mind me asking, what was your "aha moment" when you became aware of what you were putting in your body? And how old were you? Please know I'm dead serious & not being snarky at all.

@bobby5

Not really a monumental moment....but if anything which pointed me

in the right direction, it was....Susan Powter (remember her??!)

back in the early 90's (my 30's).  She was, of course, low fat...

which naturally made it a no-meat/dairy/egg/oil diet.
She talked about Drs John McDougall and Dean Ornish all the time.
As soon as I picked up Dr. McDougall's book, I was hooked.
Everything made sense. Felt good, lost weight quickly

but I ventured away for a little bit in my late 40s...but in time,

I came back. Dr. McDougall's protocol makes so much sense.
It's not 'new', flashy, sexy or in all the magazines....

but it's very reliable & it works.
Maybe now that I'm in my late 50's, it defines who I am...
simple & reliable!🙃
