I often find that the button holes are too small for the buttone, which is why I do not wear may button down shirts.

@I am still oxox they're even worse on the waistband of jeans!  I can't tell you how many times I've had to cut them bigger for my husband and take a few stitches to make sure it doesn't unravel.
