The soles of my feet feel like they are burning! Now reired,I have gone from having my nails and toes done every three weeks to hardly at all. I have not had fake nails since July. I have used the emjoi I purchased here, my feet have always developed callouses below my littles toes and heels. I don't know if I use the emjoi too much or not enough. I have used Cera-ve (sp?)  every single night. My diabetes 2 is controlled well with meds. I went from wearing 2-3 inch chunky heels to flip-flops and loafers.  This is the stranger thing though...the inside of my ankles are sensitive to touch...kind of like the nerve sensations after my knee replacements  from 9 years ago. I will go to a doctor, but not sure if I should go to my family doctor or a podiatrist. Anyone ever had anything like this? I hope it is not neuropathy.

Could it be gout? I got gout for the first time about a year ago. I'll wake up in the morning with a part of my foot hurting and burning.
While it usually shows up on the outside of the big toe, the human foot is LOADED with joints where the inflammation can occur.

@Shiloh09

You do not say how recently you used your Emjoi but when I first received one, I was a bit overzealous.  After the first try my feet burned terribly for days on end.  For a day or two I could barely walk or sleep.

Try Kerasal foot ointment.  I buy it at Wal-mart and it really helps with your calluses.  You may have neuropathy if they are burning/hurting.  I have diabetes 2 and take Gabapentin for my foot neuropathy.  I would ask your family doctor.  By the way flip flops are not good for your feet.

Afraid it sounds like neuropathy. I hope not. Does soaking in very cold water help?

I devloped neuropathy with an a1c under 6. Gabapenten helps greatly. I am taking maximum dose of 3600 mg. Without it I can’t walk.

Do you suffer side effects from the meds?
