My pharmacist neighbor used Silvadene on her burn and that's good enough for me.  She gave me the remainder of the tube.

I second the ice cold water.  If you have a turkey baster, I recommend separating the bulbous bottom of it and putting crushed ice and water into it, along with your finger-- for a full day!  I did the same thing to one of my fingers (helping a friend clean her stove), and that was the only thing that gave me instant and complete relief.  I even slept with that finger in the turkey baster.  The next morning, it was fine.

Good luck to you.  The pain of a burned fingertip is extreme.  I know.

Actually I recommend Alicante over the counter med.  I read it in a post on this forum.  I got instant relief.  Good luck.

I don't know what happened in my previous post .  It should have read Alocane.

I had taken a hot pan out of the oven and set it on my stove.  A few minutes later, I grabbed the handle forgetting how hot it was and burnt my whole palm.  After putting it in ice water I smeared some honey all over my palm and fingers then wrapped it in some gauze.  I did this also overnight and the next morning, there was no pain, no burn, no blisters, like it had never happened.  I was so amazed this worked.

Don't feel bad.  I used a frying pan in the oven the other night to cook steaks and forgot and grabbed the handle.  How dumb.  I'm not used to using frying pans in the oven that often.  It stung for a day or so and it feels much better.  I gobbed on my Honey Beez skin healing scream and I really think that helped.

@rms1954  I seem to hit the side of the toaster oven since I do most of my cooking in that.  I ignore the small burns; but, for larger or more painful ones, I use Key West Aloe's Comfortcaine that I keep in the fridge.  It is a blue-green gel and really works well.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

I hope it's better today!

I didn't know they had so many products for burns.   I still just use aloe vera gel, but haven't gotten a really bad burn like that in a while.

Last night I was making chicken and white rice for my sick pupster and I can't believe I did this.  The pan I had the chicken in, I just grabbed the pan off the burner by the two stainless steel 'D' handles to put the pan on a silicone trivet.    Um, duh, stupid.  That's going to be HOT.  It was.   SMH at self sometimes.
