Oh gosh, I'm so sorry to read this! I hope that you are trying to take it easy and have help around the house. The hospital gave me a mini-walker to use that I found very helpful, if we were not in a multilevel house one of those 'scooters' might have worked.

How is your pain doing?

@CalminHeart   So sorry to hear this.  I know you enjoy your outside work.  I hope you can manage with the crutches and boot.  Thinking of you and sending hugs!  (((❤️))).  I hope it heals soon!

Sorry hear this for you.  Nothing like hobbling around to mess with your life.

I had a broken foot that set wrong and had to be reset with saws and surgery.  Was in a cast or boot (no weight bearing) for over three months.  But I never a cast or boot that weighted 10 pounds.  Is yours reinforced?

The very best thing I learned was to crawl.  Can do stairs that way.  You can also push things in front of you to transport to an other place.

Good luck.

I hope you heal quickly, saying a prayer for you.

@CalminHeart --am so sorry , Fred---😁--no, really I am. I broke my ankle on my right foot a couple years ago, but did have surgery and was in a boot and on crutches. Did it in Oct of 2022 so I can relate to the timing ----however--having that moon boot on really toned up the tookus from the added weight and having to use muscle to manuver  in it. We just don't bounce like we used do we?

@CalminHeart.  Ouch!  That hurts just reading about it.  Thank goodness we are in an era where you can have everything you might need delivered.

Hope your recovery is speedy and uneventful.

Oh, that's bad. There's never a good time for accidents, but at the holiday time, that's the worst. I hope you have family, or friends around who can help you out. Hang in there.

Sorry to hear that @CalminHeart .   Falls are so serious to those of us who are older.  My sister broke her foot several years ago in a fall and the foot hasn't been the same.  She is able to shop and go on 1-2 mile walks but has a sore foot with which to deal afterwards.   Hope you heal quickly!

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

@CalminHeart

So sorry for you!  I hope your pain subsides soon, that you heal well and quickly.

Isn't it something how fast accidents happen!  Some day soon this will be just a memory!
Sending you my very best wishes.
