Do you believe it's bad for you? I noticed that Wal-Mart sells these huge loaves of Italian and French bread for just $1 .... I commented to the clerk that was pretty good. She said yes, the price is good, but bread is bad for you, we shouldn't eat it. No bread at alll?

No I do not. Unprocessed bread is a regular part of my daily eating program. For some that have some type of physical(or mental( "intolerance)? That is up to them to make their decision on what is and what is not.

We made spaghetti last night & I baked copycat Olive Garden breadsticks & an apple and raspberry cobbler. I also made the Olive Garden dressing & salad , so good. Smiley Happy

Can you please share the Olive Garden dressing recipe?

Soonersis, if you don't feel like making it yourself, Wal-Mart sells Olive Garden salad dressing and it's delicious.

I agree, for some of us it packs on the pounds. I have a "cheat" day once a month and if I eat bread I can gain two or three pounds easily. I avoid it now completely..

I eat bread occasionally. I buy the gluten free 2 pack by Essential Baking Company that Costco sells.

I make our own bread - using all organic ingredients, as healthy as I can make it. King Arthur flour, organic oatmeal, etc. etc. and it's used in moderation. I use honey or blackstrap molasses in it, and whole wheat flour.

Not having it makes some people grumpy.

I love bread, particularly ciabatta rolls for my sandwiches. I also like baguettes with a nice thick crust. I bought wheat bread for the first time in years today. It's okay, but I prefer the aforementioned white breads (not the grotesque Sunbeam-type white breads). I don't care if it's unhealthy, quite frankly. I cannot live without bread and pasta.

I stopped eating bread years ago, also rice, and any starchy carb dense food.

White flour is addictive and it is supposed to be designed to be that way.

If you are healthy and feeling good, then all the power to you. I don't for one minute believe that we all aren't different and have different dietary needs. While one person can eat white flour, another person becomes sick from it and becomes overweight. To each his own is my motto....Smile
