@BornToShop UTK infrared heating pad

@BornToShop

A couple of years ago you posted about the UTK Infrared Heat Therapy Healing Jade Mat.

I was wondering if you purchased it and could give a review.  DH has back issues and uses a simple heating pad while sitting in his recliner.  I am looking for a better option.

Thank you.

Re: @BornToShop UTK infrared heating pad

@Allegheny ,

look into "Lava Buns" by Vesture Corp.

The insert heats in the microwave, then slides into it's cushioned sleeve for use.

Sold as a heatable seat cushion for camping, sport events, fishing, etc.

Great behind my back, or stiff shoulder in the recliner.

I also use this to pre-warm the foot area of my bed.

I've used these for several years for myself and pets. No cords, no worry about burns, or spilled liquids on electric apliance.

Reheat the insert as needed.

I order extra inserts every few years. About $10. ea.

They can wear out or developed leaks, so I handle them carefully when they're out of their cushion sleeve.  Just be sure you order the right size.

Every year (around spring) Aldi offers this as a sporty heated seat cushion, but not under the name Lava Buns.

However the insert is made by Vesture Corp and is the same thing.

Re: @BornToShop UTK infrared heating pad

@Allegheny  I just saw this post.  I have been at my mom's who has no WiFi, etc.  I didn't purchase it after I posted for feedback.  I see the current ratings are decent; I would try it with the money-back guarantee.  I ended up going with a Sunbeam pad.

Thanks @BornToShop I appreciate you taking the time to respond.  I am still on the fence.  DH says his current heating pad is good enough.  I might stop in the PT clinic he occasionally has to frequent and see what they use or recommend.  He uses a heating pad daily and was hoping to get him something more healing.
