Biggest Loser..What am I missing?

What is the draw to biggest loser that I am missing? I flipped to it last night and for 10 minutes straight saw nothing but Jillian insult and berate the contestants. I know they lose a lot of weight, but I literally could not stand another second. There must be something that I am missing in order to get inspired...what is it??
