Has anyone used this system? Looks like it would be effective. Find I need to stretch more lately.  I might order, but might wait for it to come to big box store after seeing the cost of shipping...what’s with the $12.95 shipping cost...wow?!

Hi Bunny,

   I absolutely would not spend this amount unless you were completely tied to DVDs.  For less than the cost of this one program you could get a 6 month subscription to Beachbody on demand, and watch EVERY program they've ever created, and get access to every new one that comes out.  I do the annual subscription for $99, basically $25 more than the total cost for this one program here.

   I have always gotten great results from Beachbody programs, and they have a variety of offerings from very basic, beginner level to "I'm pretty sure I'm about to die" advanced stuff.  They all have workout calendars that help and most have diet/recipe plans, but I don't follow those.  You get it all with the subscription.

   I have several of their programs on DVD - purchased much cheaper off of eBay, and I didn't think I could get away from the TV, but I just prop up my iPad and it's really fine.  I know they were working on getting the on demand program its own app for smart TVs, etc, but I'm not sure if that's materialized yet.  I've been sidelined with a prolonged pneumonia so I don't know the latest news.

@GAC65 - I think they have a 14-day free trial. You may want to try it before you commit to a subscription. The reviews for the on demand are not so great.

I love Beachbody programs and especially prefer to order from QVC-they are usually on flex pay and you have the return policy.  I do not see that coming to big box stores if it is a BB product-I don't think they do and if they do it is few and far between. When I've ordered from Beachbody it is hard sales to get you to order the shakes, vitamins, etc. I didn't order this program but the last time QVC had the PIYO program on I got it and LOVE IT.  I incorporate that into my routines and the stretching makes me feel so good.  I thought the price was good but I didn't notice the 12.95 shipping-that seems kind of high.  I also have other BB videos and I think the workouts are great.

As far as the Beachbody on Demand-I live in a remote area and have satellite-sometimes the streaming isn't so good and if it messes up when I was working out I would just be frustrated.

@GAC65

Not familiar with it. It is "effective" at doing precisely what? Shipping 12.95? Is a machine or peripherals needed included?

What do you mean when you say "stretch more lately"? Any major muscle group that is consistently part of moving one's body, always needs to be stretched if one wants to maintain that specific group's flexibility. That includes all associated connective tissues.

Major weight bearing joints like the spine/hips and knees, need strong muscles supporting those joints, along with flexibility to keep their range of motion within an acceptable range.

"Stretch more" leads me to assume you are already utilizing some sort of stretching in your activities. The "more" generally comes into play when muscles are asked to do more sustained contraction and elongation motions, or to recovering from either a minor or major injury.

Does this Beachbody fall into either of those categories? Lots of questions I just asked, it's certainly your prerogative to not answer them.

The s/h to me was absurd.  If you do not like the program and opt to return it, you are out that $12.95 PLUS whatever it cost you to return the program.

The s/h on the Beachbody website is the same as on QVC so I'm guessing this is shipping directly from Beachbody.
