Lots of out of range "highs."  Must talk to the doc before I go to the dentist next week for some expensive work on my teeth.

@LilacTree --Just last month my doctor asked me to retest for a potassium high.  In the 3 weeks between the 2 tests, it dropped just into range, so we're just going to watch and retest in a few months.  Hope you can be as lucky.

Hope all of your "highs" can be corrected and are not too serious.

Hope so too.  Two different docs did tests on me this past month.  One shows low protein and some bacteria in my urine that she said we should "watch."  The other has not given me any feedback yet.  I am going to call my PCP (who gave me the results) and ask her about the testing the other doc (rheumatolist) gave me with all of these "highs."

Thanks for your good wishes, I am happy to hear your labs have improved!

I just had my physical last week and am waiting for results of blood work - hoping all is well, been really tired and lethargic lately.  Hoping all of your tests go well too!  My doctor usually just calls and says everything is okay or.... -- but I insist on a copy of everything so I can compare it with the previous year.

@hoosieroriginal

I always request a copy to be sent to me also and most of the time I have read it days before I hear from the doc, if I hear at all.  I check out what any "high" reading is.  The rheumatologist never bothered to call or have her office call about all of the high readings I have on that lab report.  Yet if I received it, she must have also.

She's supposed to send a copy to the PCP as well, and I will see if she did when I talk to my PCP tomorrow.

@sissy2 Tree - yes, I like to see if cholesterol is on it's way up and my thyroid readings especially, since my sisters were both on thyroid meds (so far I'm good!).  That way I can change my habits and rectify the matter before it gets out of control.

@SeaMaiden

Thank you so much.  If my PCP can't see me before the 13th, I'll have to cancel my dentist until I can be sure of my health status.  No sense having teeth done if I have a significant problem.

I agree.  I read everything and check it out online if necessary.  Docs don't like that, but they don't always follow up, especially on labs.
