@hckynutjohn  Flurbiprofen is an Nsaid.  Have used it for 25+ years, altho have to be careful.  It will give stomach ulcers if used too much.  Happened to me once.

I also have had back surgery.......spinal fusion L4-5, S1.  Have 6 screws in my back.

Thank you, never heard of it. Was on Celebrex until I heard Vioxx and Celebrex could have effects on the heart valve.

Since I had suffered 2 heart attacks, I decided to quit taking it. Wasn't caring much for getting kidney function checked every 3 months either, while on Celebrex.

Had back surgery to remove my L-5/S-1, and another to remove my L-3. Neither required fusion.

My years of stretching all my back side(upper/mid/lower, including legs) muscles, and keeping all my abdominal(core) muscles strong, has kept me pretty much pain free, and as flexible as before the surgeries. An ache now and again, but that's about it for me.

The only thing that causes me pain was trying to sleep in a bed, any type of bed. Been sleeping in a recliner for about 30 years now. Get in a bed for more than and my obliques tighten up in about 10 minutes.

Best to you,
