Thanks Rebecca. I do have an appointment with my doctor, week after next. I did make an appointment. We need to have that talk.

I saw Montell Williams on Dr. Oz, talking about how he got rid of his MS pain. He was following the directions of a doctor who wrote a book. I ordered the book and will see if it could help me.

Love 'ya. Glass

Hi Glass,

Just curious: have you tried Lyrica for your pain?

Glass,

How did your doctor's appointment go? Any light at the end of the leg pain tunnel?

I know you must have ten million things on your mind now with your wedding coming up soon. Hoping and praying that each day brings fulfillment of the many things you need to get done. Give Paul a big "Hi" from Portland.

Glass Lady if you happen to see my note to you could you please tell me the name of the book you ordered for MS pain relief. I would very much like to order it for a friend. Thank you very much. Sending you many good wishes for a Happy, Healthy, and blessed new life full of wonderful adventures for you and Paul.

Rebecca, I found your phone number....duhhhh, in, of all places, my phone book. I looked in all my devices, Iphone, Ipad, computer. But I wrote it down in my phone book. I will try to call you tomorrow.

Sorry I missed you today. I'm trying to set up my new Iphone. It's crazy! If I change a password, I need to change everything else. It's driving me crazy. I so resisted technology, and here I am fully immersed.

Just a hint about my pain solution, I was listening to Montel Williams, on Dr Oz. He was talking about putting his pain in a box. He recommended a book, which I'm reading. I'll tell you more about it tomorrow.

Hi Glass and cater,

Well, it's approaching noon and my day is running slow. Went to bed late after DD and I had a dinner and movie at my house last night (what a rarity!), then got up because I wanted to catch two knitting shows at 8 this morning (don't have DVR any longer). Plus am waiting for my husband to call me around lunchtime, as he's on the road now driving a moving van back from San Diego and also need DD to text me back about her seaweed salad. So here I sit needing a shower, but know that the second I step in the shower the phone will ring or do its text thing and I'll miss it. AND, I'm excited and waiting for your call today, Glass, if you can squeeze it into your busy schedule.

Re placing pain in a box, I've successfully done that with pain, but have found when pain levels reach 6 of 10, it become so distracting that I require pharmacological intervention. I've done some small amount of reading on the subject and know that pain sufferers have found it to be most helpful, if you're of the right mindset.

For an altogether different reason, I found "the box" most useful in the position from which I retired mid-2013. I had to have that box into which I could place images and feelings and spoke about this to a couple of docs with whom I had special relations. Interestingly, they ALL practiced the same as I. The first doc I questioned about this was an ophthalmologist. Now, of all medical specialties out there, I would consider that field to not have the "icky" factor as many, many others. He was adamant, though, that he used his "box" into which he placed his feelings regarding clinical matters.

I hope that both of you gain some amount of control and thereby ease in your daily lives after having read this book and implementing its practices.

God Bless - Rebecca

For all of you that are feeling like you are falling apart, try eliminating gluten from your diet. Get one or both of these books: Wheat Belly by William Davis, MD (cardiologist) and Grain Brain by David Perlmutter, MD (neurologist). They link, scientifically, so many body problems to gluten: MS symptoms, migraines, dementia, diabetes, etc. gluten is hidden in so many shelf items, you really have to study labels. Seriously, before I would take anything pharmaceutical, I would investigate this topic.
