Nosebleeds gone. It was allergy. I never had that before but because of the drought, the fields have gone crazy here. The horses aren't eating fast enough. We did have a few days of rain though, not much but it was a blessing.

lobster, holding good thoughts for you and your surgery. I hope and pray all goes well.

Hi Everyone,

Lobstergal was kind enough to let me know that the surgery went great. They got the stone out!!! Hooray!!! She also said that they will go in again next week to remove the stent.

Let's continue to pray for Lobstergal and her DIL as they work through current challenges.

God Bless - Rebecca

Hi babs21!

Welcome to the Falling Apart Thread. We've many fine folks here who, like youself, suffer from multiple disorders and/or diseases. We're greatly into supporting and rooting for eachother through difficulties and would enjoy having you join us.

I sure hope they've made some progress regarding treatment for psoriasis, as my Dad suffered from it for nearly his entire adult life, as did my Maid of Honor.

The driving at night thing is getting to me as well, but that is due to development of cataracts, which make on-coming headlights appear like bursts of sunlight. It really clouds my visual field like crazy. Since I have only Stage 3 cataracts, surgery isn't in the picture yet, so I let DH do the night driving.

Hope you're having a good weekend.

Hi Everyone,

Just stopping by to say hello to everyone.

It's going to be near 100 here tomorrow, so this will be our first day with the baby in such hot weather w/o a/c. I sure hope she takes it OK.

Have an appointment with a new M.D. Gastroenterologist on 7/28 to address current issues. I'm counting the days. Meantime, my internist wants to rule out c diff, so will do that on Wednesday.

Take care all.

Hi all. Rebacca, I couldn't believe it when I was in that part of the country and it was 104. I never knew it got that hot there. And in February I was there in a blizzard. They sure do have temperature extremes.

Beautiful day here today. Not much happening but I got a little done.

Hi Glass,

So glad you got a little done, as I got next to nothing done. That's how it's been since the surgery. Tomorrow, however, I'm going to go out to the back fence where all the berries are growing to see if I can pick some raspberries. I've gotta get out there early in jeans so I don't get pricked too much. At least my cane can be used to hold back parts of bushes. I didn't even know the berries had started to come in until DH came in several days ago with a little handful of raspberries and boy were they good! I've just got to get out there myself to pick some without falling over.

Lobstergal, Know you're still recouperating from last week's removal of your kidney stone and are prepping for removal of the stent. I sincerely hope that by the end of this week you will be totally on the mend from this insult to your poor body.

God Bless all our friends in pain, physical challenge and sleepless nights - Rebecca

Hi everyone,

I haven't been feeling well since the surgery on Friday. I go back in tomorrow to have the stent removed and hoping I'll feel better after that comes out. I also lost a childhood friend on Monday to cancer, he was only 45 years old. {#emotions_dlg.sad}

Glass, I'm glad you're feeling up to getting out to work in your gardens again. I hope your ear is better.

Rebecca ~ how awesome that you have delicious berries right in your own backyard! I only have 1 small tomato plant on my back patio because the deer & bunnies eat everything in sight on the ground....even in the pots on the ground. {#emotions_dlg.angry} I love the space I have here but having a wide open area with a creek close by brings all the critters with it. They even dined on the deer proof plants I planted this year.

Update on Sarah....she saw her doctor yesterday and Aria is 4 and a half pounds! The dr said she is surprised Sarah hasn't gone into labor yet because the baby is sitting right on the cervix where the stitch is. The cerclage stitch will come out in 3 weeks unless her water breaks sooner.

Hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July. Dave was very patriotic and we would drive our 69 Javelin in the local town 4th of July parade then we'd sit in our driveway at night to watch the fireworks....it's going to be a somber day for me.

Take care & God Bless!

Hi Everyone,

For those of you who might have had the pleasure of touching base with Bobbisue on another thread or perhaps you haven't, I'd like to ask for your prayers for her, as she had a recent scan which revealed multiple tumors on her liver. The prognosis is not good.

She started the "Widows" thread over on "Among Friends" some time ago when she lost her husband Buck. This thread of hers has been a blessing to many who have lost their dear husbands and so I would say her work there has been one of grace earned.

God Bless Bobbiesue and guide her healthcare providers. May she know as little pain as possible and I pray that she will have a support group to lift her up.

Rebecca, I certainly will say a few prayers for Bobbiesue.

I keep trying to keep the berries (blackberries OUT of my yard. They like to pop up everywhere. We have them all over town too. I don't need them in my backyard.

Paul's sunflowers are about 6" tall and he has planted a whole hill of flowers. He also has a vegetable garden started. He's so cute, he goes out and checks them daily. I think he's really getting into gardening. We've worked really hard on our yard this year. It's starting to look like a paradise. Our paths are weed free. That weed mixture sure works well. Just that, had helped with the work by about 40%. The only weeds I have to pull are ones too near flowers or plants.

I went to the heart doctor yesterday and had good news. I didn't know that he was considering valve surgery last November. But I've had two EKG's since then and he says I'm fine. It's good that I didn't know about the surgery. I would have worried for nothing.
