Well bopper, I think you pushed me over the edge :-) . I'm going for the Total Gym. I've wanted one for some time now but @ the time the Pilates was cheaper (also hubby wasn't working out) and thought I would get the same results. The more I see the TG presentation the more I regret not getting it from the start because I think my hubby would appreciate the TG as well. I'm going to wait for just a bit to see if the next airing has free shipping.

I've got to commit to posting here more often. Accountability!!

Vonlam ~ I am interested in knowing how the total gym differs from the pilates....I have the old areopilates jp with the cardio board and was thinking of updating to the TG. DH saw the TG the other night and said buy it, but I am on the fence...We converted our one car garage to a workout room and we have a treadclimber, a treadmill, the pilates machine and an air hockey table....couldn't fit the TG unless I put it in the master.....

Mick, feel better. Vonlam, it's good to see you again. Bopper, my TG dvds should get here Monday. I did 50 min cardio tonight. Should have done weights, but I just didn't have it in me.

Hi everyone!

Checking in with interval training...trail-running, hills, stairs, sprints, etc., with my little buddy. Actually did more miles than I expected to since I'm so sore from lifting heavy yesterday after class.

It was nice seeing some of my old gym buddies. I think one of them is going to go to OTF with me to see what it's all about, she's in excellent shape and looks like it...super ripped! She'll push ya!{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Dh is back from golfing and wants to get some exercise in so it looks like I'll be going back out.{#emotions_dlg.unsure} Heading to the Fit Course. Not taking Lucy though, she's had enough today...she did more miles in 2 days than most people do in a week.

Windy here too FUTURE{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}...but the sun is out.

Hey all, well we got belted with a terrible snow storm....at least a foot of snow fell with wind...we just got a plow this morning come through our subdivision. The poor Robins are cleaning out the Crab apple tree,,,I have had so many birds..nuthatches, gold finches, wood peckers, Cedar waxwings, Red Winged black birds,,,,everything is hungry.

I didn't workout today....just shoveled my deck which was heavy and cleaned and am watching my Tigers play. I almost forgot I did walk my subdivision and 2x around is 3 miles.

Von I love my TG,,,,I know it isn't for everyone but for me I love it...have a hard time staying off of it. I laid awake thinking about my Pilates reformer and the TG and I prefer the TG. Some pilates moves you can do on the TG...and Rosalie Brown has just made 3 new workouts including a Pilates one so I am getting those when they are released.

Mick I hope you feel better,,,,seems lots of allergies already too...hoping DH got that treadclimber fixed too.

nomless hooray on the dvd's. Anxious to get your opinion...I am ordering the Pilates tall squat stand from their site. Will make the squats easier for me since I'm so tall.

Pppmint the wind can be brutal....you guys did awesome...and Lucy must be tuckered out.

FUTURE I am glad you posted, been thinking about you and how life is so busy..I hope you can enjoy some weekend time.

OK kids back to the game..

Going to be a downer for a minute here. A year ago today we rode into DC to watch my dil's soccer game...I couldn't remember how many miles it was, knew it was over 30 but thought I might have posted the mileage in a post on last year's April Exercise Thread.

Well, I read all of cosmetics posts and then some of mine were about recently losing Zoe...I have to say, it knocked the wind out of my sails.

I hate to keep bringing it up, but it's funny how you can miss someone so much you never met.

So, in my own way, I wanted to acknowledge and honor cosmetics today. That lady kept her chin up and kept on pushing regardless of what she was going through. I hope she found her perfect salad and nightgown.

Anyway, just felt I needed to mention this. What a day that would be if we signed on here and saw her name pop up.{#emotions_dlg.wub}

5-mile run with so many box-jumps in the middle I had to stop because I was afraid I would smash my shins on the brick.

Anyway, I did it in 50 minutes but not sure how many minutes I did box jumps for...I don't know how to break that up yet.

Morning, I applaud you Pppmint for saying that. I have missed her terribly also and pray she is safe..I feel the same way, people who you have never met and they touch your heart and soul...she knew we loved her...I know she did! And bless you and Zoe too!

My first outside run today, the streets are finally melted...2 miles in 24 minutes according to my HRM and hubby timing me...I'm just a baby runner but non the less I still did it...

Not much going on here,,,hubby is watching something on the sports channel....cloudy here but it is in the 40's.

Have a great rest of the day!

Patty, your posr was compassionate, not a downer....even though it made me cry. I think of Cosmetics nearly every day....today, when I put herbs de provence on chicken I baked. She and I talked about that once. When I see NCIS is on. Eveey time I stop in here.....haven't given up on seeing a post from her. I miss Zoe, too. Yes, the people and furkids here are definitely friends, even though we haven't met in RL. Lucy and her miles make me smile. So does Logan playing in the snow. Cosmetics was and is an inspiration....the way she handled it all. Checking in with TG. Will probably do more later too. I like being able to do a form of pullups, and the pullovers are amazing. Harxer than dooing them with dumbbells, probably because I can go heavier beause there's no risk of dropping the weight on my face! LOL.
