Anyone with uterine fibroids have less problems with them after menopause?

I have three uterine fibroids...not huge but when I have my period, only a few times a year now due to perimenopause, I have heavy ones. Feeling that menopause is right around the corner so hoping that after menopause, the fibroids will shrink a bit. Just curious if anyone waited for menopause rather than elected for hysteretomy. Thanks.
