Anyone with fibro trying D5-Ribose?

I've done fairly well dealing with fibro symptoms but this winter seems to have thrown me for a loop, and I plan to give this a try. Is anyone here using it? Hope you are all managing OK in this brutal weather!

I used D-ribose successfully several years ago along with making dietary changes & eating very healthy.

I seem to recall needing to "load" it, taking more for a few weeks and then going down to a maintenence amount. It was a powder & I added it to water.

I tried this and it did nothing for me. I recently discovered Fibro Ease Multi and Inflam 95 on Amazon. Just started the Inflam last night, but I love the Fibro EaseMulti!! I feel wonderful and I don't have the muscle cramps and my fatigue has been significantly reduced. I feel like moving more and doing things now. I used to lie in bed for 12 hrs on Sat and Sun. Now I get up in the morning and stay up. I'm sleeping a normal eight hours now. So far this is the best product I've found for my fibro.

I saw this on Dr. Oz but could only find D-Ribose online and not the D5-Ribose mentioned on the show. Does anyone know if there is a difference between the two? I think my husband has fibro and would love to find something to help him.

I noticed the Fibro Ease has quite a bit of magnesium. Magnesium tends to upset my stomach. How well do you tolerate it?

It's always a victory for me when I remember why I entered a room.

No tummy issues. I was taking a magnesium that was mag oxide that did cause issues for me. Fibro Ease has maleate/citrate and I've haven't had any problems. Smiley Happy complete opposite of the magnesium oxide.

I used D5 ribose and I got my supplements thru Fibro/chronic fatigue clinic, and yes it helped.

I used it for about two years. I wanted to give it a good chance. It didn't help me.

On another thread in the wellness section someone recommened this supplement from Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/Gaia-Herbs-Adrenal-Health-Phyto-Capsules/dp/B00F1J8EKI/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_t...

I have been reading some reviews wondering if this might be worth trying....not sure...anyone on this thread know about this one?? or it there is something out there better?

Violann, have you ever looked under website endfatigue.com, there is information about Ribose and also about a new supplement to help with sleep. It costs 25.00 and you have to fill out a survey after using it.
