Im with most of you all.....early riser....between 4 and 5 am.....having been a night nurse for many years my sleep patterns are all screwed up . It doesn't really bother me getting up early ......I do my best work in the am !

I only get up early if there's a need to, now that I'm retired.
Before retirement, I had to arise at 0420 Monday through Friday. This did not agree with my body. I'm more content and feel better when I go to bed late and get up later. Glad to be able to do that now.

I have not set time for getting up unless I have something that requires something at a particular time. That is the good part of being retired for me. It took many years of working and then doctor and hospital visits about every day, but right now I can pretty much pick my own time of arising. With and emphasis on "right now".

Not on purpose.

I haven't "worked" in years, but I usually get up around 6 AM and work out for an hour with the exercise programs on PBS during that time. Then I make breakfast for DH and myself. On Sunday both he and I are up between 6 and 6:30 to get ready for church service at 8AM. Kind of boring, I guess.

I go to bed no later than 10:00 and I am up by 4:30 to read the paper, exercise, and get lunches ready for work. The only time my sleep pattern varies is on vacation- if I take an hour nap, I can stay up til midnight, no problem. I love to sleep in hotels- no paper to read, no dog waking me up, no husband snoring ( we rarely vacation together). I love being the first one up.

I get up at 4:30 two days a week to go into the office. The other days, I'm usually up by 6, which is like sleeping in compared to the really early days.

If you get up between 3:30 and 4:30, do you nap during the day?
I have to get up for a job and I have a very hard time doing it. I have to drag myself out of bed every morning and it doesn't matter what time I go to bed. I set an alarm because DH gets up earlier than I do for work. As soon as the alarm goes off, he shuts it off and jumps out of bed.
Me? If I set the alarm for myself, I hit the snooze about 4 times. Even when I put the clock on the other side of the room, I'd get out of bed, stomp across the room to hit the snooze and stomp back to bed.
I detest that it's dark early now. Last night by 8:15 DH was asking if I was ready for bed because it was pitch dark. LOL
I'm a mess in the mornings.

I always went to bed late and got up early when working and never had a restful sleep. Now that I am retired, I still go to bed late and get up early, but have a much more restful night. If I wake up during the night, I'm not worried about having to get up and go to work, so I just relax and eventually fall back to sleep. But I am awake regardless at 6:00 AM, get my newspaper and a cup of coffee and begin the day. And love every second of it.

I get up at 5 a.m. every day. I work three days a week but don't leave until 7:45 so I certainly don't need all that time.
I just love the morning, weather permitting I sit on the front porch and watch the sun rise over the horse pasture.
I watch the morning news, drink my coffee, catch up on little stuff around the house, exercise or go for a walk, etc.
I love the mornings, always have.
My husband used to always say that I got more accomplished by 6 a.m. than most people do all day.
ETA. Go to bed about 11 and sleep very, very well.
