This hot, humid summer certainly is hard on the skin! I have been dealing with "prickly heat" rashes on my neck, bra line, and now on the backs of my hands. Everything cleared up except for my hands. It certainly is itchy. I know it isn't from exposure to poison ivy or anything because I haven't been around plants. I used to get this on my hands under my gloves on hot, humid days when I worked as a dental hygienist.
I have an appointment at the dermatologist August 7 for my annual exam, so I'll ask him what to do...but knowing him, he will just say "dermatitis"...which basically is a generic name for, "You have a rash on your hands!"
Meanwhile, I'm going out today to pick up some cortisone or antihistamine cream.
Anyone else having this problem?
