Any one down with this miserable cold??

Oh my this is a doozy..more like a cold/flu thing...my whole house is down with it right now...starts with scratchy throat, then typical cold symptoms..runny nose sneezing coughing achiness and even a slight fever....5 days later only feeling slightly better...dd had it for at least 7 days, is better but still has a intermittent cough...she's been to the dr. Hubby just left to go to dr...supposed to go to work, but can't...he's pretty tough so it's got him down..no otc meds help...I guess it just has to run its course..just curious if anyone has had this in the past few weeks...

now of course, things are blooming here so for allergy sufferers this adds insult to injury..arrgghh..my sinuses are going to be a mess.Smiley Tongue

@Karie2022  Ugh, that's awful.  So far I've been able to escape it, but it's been all around me.  I work at a college and frequent two separate gyms, so plenty of exposure there.   I'm hearing from lots of people that it's more like bronchitis or the flu than a normal cold.  Lots of younger people are even heading to the hospital for help breathing.  I hope you all feel better soon!

Yes, I started w/a cold then it turned into a sinus infection w/fever. Going on about 3 weeks now.

Hope your hubby gets better.

Re: Any one down with this miserable cold??

I've had it. It's still somewhat hanging on but now I think it's more of a sinus issue due to our weather.

I started to come down with it over 2 weeks ago and diligently was using something called Cold Calm hoping it would just go away. That was on a Saturday and Sunday.  It didn't help at all.

By Monday I felt awful, by Tuesday I was miserable and by Wednesday I threw in the towel and stayed home from work.  I was exhausted and felt like I didn't sleep at all when I would wake up in the morning but I couldn't sleep.

It was about 3 days of misery and then it got better to the point of me only feeling crummy.  LOL

I have it too.  Not sure if cold or allergies but I think it's turning into a sinus infection. Ugh

My mother has it. She is in her upper 80's so I am concerned for her.  She has cold symptoms, loss of appetite, low grade fever, and today..... bad headaches.  It seems to have settled in her sinus area which is usually her "weak spot".

........................... My mom has a cold sore, too.  She can't even remember the last time she had one! I hear there are still 4 or 5 different things going around.

I caught it from my husband. I feel pretty bad, but he is a lot worse off than I am
