Ivey...your calm words mean so much to me. Unfortunately, we do not have family - only each other. I will take your advice on the notes and I so appreciate your prayers for my husband's well being.

Pitdakota...thanks for that cup of hot tea. When I was a child and there were any problems, my mom would tell me to take a warm bath and she would make a pot of tea. Thank you for reminding me of that wonderful and calming advice.

It was evident immediately after the surgery my husband needed critcal care and the hospital did not want to address it. And yes, I wish the attorney was here tomorrow to protect us. In fact, I wish it was at his office but I suppose the case manager wants to see our home and how we live. Thank you for your prayers...
If this is your lawyer hired to protect your husband's interests, are you talking with him about your questions and concerns? If your husband has an attorney to represent him, I'm not sure why you're asking advice from a bulletin board!!
Please talk with the attorney's office ASAP and get advice as to how to handle this visit tomorrow. And please be ready to cooperate with the court and the judge, who need good information on your husband's condition and the amount and kinds of help he needs so they can hopefully award him a fair settlement. You should be trying to get all the necessary help you can, not insisting that you can handle things all by yourself! If your husband needs a hospital bed, a motorized wheelchair, help with bathing and other self-care, physical therapy, medications for pain -- whatever -- the judge will need to know what his needs are so he can decide how to rule and what to award.

I'm feeling really uncomfortable about this meeting. thank you for your response...I just don't know where to go with this issue. The meeting is scheduled for 11:00 tomorrow. I think I'll try to get another attorney's input first thing in the morning.
Didn't you say his work comp attorney recommended to cooperate? Is this his attorney, hired by him? If so, you need to do what he says.
I can say more after I get the answer to this.

I didn't see this. If he says keep the appointment, keep it and cooperate. Sounds like you are getting his disability rating. Once you have that, it determines what kind of settlement he will get. Make sure whatever it is, it includes future medical.
