I had surgery on my eyelid in October. Some of the stitches were disolvable and others and others weren't. He removed most of the non-disolvable sutures, one worked its way out on its own but I think there may be some more in there beneath the skin.
For those who have had sutures left behind, did you have to have them surgically removed or did they work their way out? The area is completely healed.
I'm looking for information from those with experience, not Google. And don't tell me to go to my doctor; that's a given!

She did go...her surgeon is out of town for the month and she had the nurse look at it. I was just asking how it all turned out. She did the absolute best that she could do given the unique circumstances and was just asking if anyone had a similar situation which I had. Please read her entire post.

She SAID (over a month ago when this was originally posted) "And don't tell me to go to my doctor; that's a given!"--meaning yes, she was already planning to go to the doctor. She just wanted other's experiences to compare her own to. It would avoid so much misunderstanding if people would read the whole post!
