@Mindy D Thank you but I can not shop and buying on line is not a good idea for pillows, I have a script for 2 mg valium whihc I use to sleep on ocassion with my MMJ. I have a compromised immune system and do not shop in stores.
I am not willing to take or try any additonal meds but thank you for the suggestion
@Mindy D wrote:@I am still oxox @I strongly suggest the purchase of two genuine down pillows. One pillow in soft and one in medium. Layer the soft one atop the medium. Prefluff in dryer according to manufactures directions. The tension on the neck and face muscles is one of the causes of tension headaches. As for medications, Fioricet is highly effective. It's by prescription. Has BUTALBITAL in it as the main ingredient. I believe it's also available as the only ingredient, but I'd have to check on this. Available as generic. There's versions with Tylenol or aspirin included in the pill. Another help can be short term use of Diazepam, aka,Valium, because of its muscle relaxant effect. Since your surgery the positions you sleep in and the pillows and bedding can put pressures and straining on the musculature in your face neck and head that can lead to tension headache. This medicine should be monitored by your doctor to avoid habit formation.

@I am still oxox I'm sorry you're still in agony. I just want to second the opinion of the poster who suggested going to an ENT. I had extremely bad headaches every morning for so long (after a surgery that didn't heal as easily as I had been expecting) & I knew I couldn't continue my life that way in constant pain. The ENT had CAT scans done and told me it was TMJ. Got fitted for a bite guard retainer I wear at night, and my headaches went away. I also see a Chiropractor but not routinely. Don't give up, there's an answer somewhere. I'm sure you're tired of going to doctors but give this last one a thought. I hope you find relief and soon! Good luck.

@I am still oxox . I am so sorry you are having so many issues. I too am severely immune compromised but have found a way to navigate safely through the use of masks and not going out to stores when they are crowded.
The Westin store sells wonderful pillows on line which are easily returnable, for example.
Do you have one dr who oversees all of your medical adventures?? When dealing with multiple issues, that is important, Yiu mentioned therapy..I hope that is working well for you.
I have read your posts for several years and miss your wonderful sense of humor and view on life. Posters here have offered some sound advice and maybe instead of pushing back , you could present some of them to your Dh and pcp as alternatives.
I personally find prayer and meditation to be helpful. I will pray for your healing. đź’–đź’–

@I am still oxox @I forgot to mention that I also get tension headaches. I do not take Butalbital. My friend takes that for her tension headaches. My headaches are related to my heads positioning shen I sleep. I do get help from Tylenol Rapid Release. I did help myself with the pillow layering technique. I used to be able to get down pillows from Pacific Doen, the company that att the best hotels and QVC used to use, however, they have pillows now available that don't have descriptions for pillows of the same quality as before. I hope you feel better soon.

I get those type of headaches too--mostly from stress. thats when I go see my chiropractor---she is a miracle worker IMO---I try to see her once a month. I know alot of people are freaked out about chiropractic and alot of drs poo-poo them too. I usually feel better right away but sometimes it takes another appt. Worth her weight in gold!!!
